A$AP Rocky Seemingly Agrees That Travis Scott Stole His “Whole Style”

For years, rumors have continuously circulated that A$AP Rocky and Travis Scott have bad blood. During an upcoming interview on the Drink Champs podcast, Rocky was questioned about his similarities with Houston-born rapper Scott. A teaser for the upcoming episode was posted on Instagram on Monday, where the Harlem-born rapper can be seen agreeing to a comment made by N.O.R.E claiming that “Travis Scott stole his whole style from A$AP Rocky.” It is unclear whether N.O.R.E. referred to his music or fashion style, however. Elsewhere in the teaser, N.O.R.E claimed that during the Drink Champs episode of the artist formerly known as Kanye West, the Chicago artist mentioned that Rocky “dresses better than me.” In spite of the speculations, Rocky mentioned in a 2019 tweet that the feud ...

Nintendo Reports Drop in Switch Sales Due to Global Chip Shortage

Following the close of its fiscal year on March 31, Nintendo has reported a slight decrease in hardware sales. While the company met its sales predictions for the Nintendo Switch, shipping out a little over 23 million units, it has revised that number from an original estimate of over 25 million units. Although the Switch is Nintendo’s most popular piece of hardware, the past fiscal year’s sales marked a 20% drop from the previous year. To date, the company has still sold more Switch units than the Wii. Sales overall for the year clocked in at $13 billion USD, down from $13.48 million USD the year prior. The decline can be attributed to the global semiconductor shortage, as well as shipping delays due to the pandemic. “If COVID-19 interferes with production or transportation in the futur...

‘Gotham Knights’ Will Not Be Available on the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One

Batman fans who have yet to transition to current-gen consoles will be disappointed to learn that Warner Bros. Games‘ upcoming Gotham Knights open-world RPG will not be coming to the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. The company’s Montreal studio has revealed that the anticipated title revolving around Batman’s sidekicks and prodigies will now launch exclusively on current-gen consoles across the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S as well as PC instead of also supporting previous-gen devices. According to Warner Bros., the decision was made in order to create “the best possible gaming experience” for fans. Perhaps as consolation, the studio also released a 13-minute gameplay trailer offering fans a first look at how the game will run. The trailer focuses on both Nightwing and Red Hood, showca...

Pussy Riot’s Masha Alyokhina Escapes Russia Amid Putin’s Crackdown on Dissidents

Pussy Riot’s Masha Alyokhina has fled Russia amid Putin’s war on Ukraine and crackdown on dissidents. In the past year, Alyokhina was jailed multiple times for short stints—attempts to stifle her activism when she was arrested, for example, at an anti-Putin rally. In April, when authorities announced that her house arrest would turn into 21 days in a penal colony, she decided to exit the country. A new report from The New York Times outlines the punk activist’s efforts to evade Russian authorities and find her way across the border. Alyokhina had been staying at a friend’s apartment and said Moscow police were staking the place out. She reportedly slipped away disguised as a food courier and left her phone behind to avoid being tracked. Likely because the Russian government had confiscated...

Apple iPod Officially Discontinued After 20 Years

For the better part of the last decade, the Apple iPod has been more of a nostalgia item or the first smart device for children than a must-have item. Today, it has finally been discontinued and will only be available “while supplies last.” While the move hardly comes out of nowhere — the iPod Classic was discontinued back in 2014, and Apple last updated the iPod Touch in 2019 — it will strike a chord with older millennials who have rose-colored memories of loading their MP3 collections into iTunes. Sure, the click wheels on the early models would sometimes stick, and the spinning hard drives would die without warning, but being able to carry thousands of songs in one’s pocket was a groundbreaking moment in technology. Of course, the iPod wasn’t the first portable MP3 player, but it c...
