After rocketing to 10 million downloads last month, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel has just announced it has reached a new milestone with 20 million downloads. To celebrate the new achievement, Konami gifted 1,000 gems to its players — this celebratory present is available for those that log in from now until April 25. Speedrunner Completes ‘Elden Ring’ In Under 29 Minutes
A speedrunner has managed to complete Elden Ring in just under 29 minutes. The new world record comes from prolific Dark Souls speedrunner Distortion2, who managed to finish the massively popular game in just 28 minutes and 59 seconds, managing what he believes to be the world’s first sub-30 minute completion of Elden Ring. The run itself is an “Any%” run, which means Distortion2 aims to get from the beginning of the game to the end credits as quickly as possible without completing every single quest and task in the game, but what’s impressive is that his time has constantly been improving. ‘Dungeons & Dragons’ Gold Box Classics are Coming to Steam
Retro gaming fans will be delighted to learn that SNEG will now be bringing back the Dungeons & Dragons Gold Box Classic series. Due to arrive on Steam, the new revival will bring numerous titles from the ’80s series to the platform, including three Forgotten Realms collections with one from the Eye of the Beholder Series, one for Pool of Radiance and Savage Frontier, and a final one for Dungeon Hack and Menzoberranzan. Lil Durk is projected to achieve a new feat on next week’s Billboard 200 with his latest project, 7220. According to HITS Daily Double, Durkio is on track to earn his first No. 1 entry on the 200 chart; 7220 is expected to garner a total of 120,000 to 130,000 equivalent album units — enough to end the eight-week chart-topping reign of the Encanto soundtrack. Kid Cudi to Star in Brittany Snow-Directed Film September 17th
Kid Cudi is set to star in Brittany Snow’s new feature film directorial debut, September 17th, reports Variety. Snow decided to cast Cudi after working together as actors in A24’s new horror movie X. “I couldn’t believe that [Snow] wanted me in it,” Cudi told Variety. “She had told me about the movie while we were on set [for X], but she never asked me to be in it. I was like, ‘Maybe she’s waiting to see how [X] turns out.’ It’s gonna be awesome. ‘Encanto’ Makes It Nine Weeks Atop Billboard 200 Albums Chart
The Encanto soundtrack snags a ninth nonconsecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart (dated March 19). The set earned 72,500 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending March 10 (down 9%), according to MRC Data. Encanto also surpasses 1 million equivalent album units earned in the U.S., as the latest tracking week brings its to-date sum to 1.03 million. The soundtrack album was released on Nov. 19, before the film arrived in U.S. theaters on Nov. 24. The movie was released via the Disney+ streaming service a month later (Dec. 24).
