Netflix Is Making a BioShock Live-Action Movie
Add BioShock to the list of video games being adapted into a movie. Netflix has announced it has partnered with BioShock publisher 2K and parent company Take-Two Interactive to create a film based on the retrofuturistic franchise. No director or actors have been attached to the project, which is being produced by Vertigo Entertainment and Take-Two. The BioShock series began in 2007 and is comprised of three main games: BioShock, 2010’s BioShock 2, and 2013’s BioShock Infinite. The first two take place during the 1960s in the fictional underwater city of Rapture, with the latter title shifting to 1912 on the floating city of Columbia. Coachella Drops All COVID-19 Precautions
Coachella Music Festival has quietly updated its health and safety rules and will not require proof of vaccination, a negative COVID-19 test, mask wearing, or any other pandemic precautions for the 2022 event. “In accordance with local guidelines, there will be no vaccination, testing or masking requirements at Coachella 2022,” organizers wrote. The change comes as the state of California loosens its COVID-19 rules, mandating masks only for certain indoor environments, and ordering vaccination or a negative test only for indoor events of 1,000 or more attendees. Animated political satire never goes out of style, which is why Fox is resurrecting Berkeley Breathed’s 1980s comic strip Bloom County for a new series. In development at FOX Entertainment, Bento Box Entertainment, Miramax, Spyglass Media Group, and Project X Entertainment, Bloom County will be co-written and executive-produced by Breathed himself. Coachella 2022 Will No Longer Require Masks, Vaccinations and Negative COVID-19 Tests
Organizers of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and Stagecoach Festival have announced that it will be dropping COVID-19 restrictions for its 2022 dates. Coachella’s updated Health and Safety website page stated that no vaccination, testing or masks will be required “in accordance with local guidelines.” It continued, however, that this rule could be reverted depending on “federal, state or local government agencies or instrumentalities, artists or the promoter,” and that the organizers have the right to change aspects of the festival including but not limited to “capacity, attendance procedures and entry requirements, such as proof of vaccination and/or negative COVID-19 test, and other protective measures such as requiring attendees to wear face coverings.” A COVID-19 warning ...
