Morgan Wallen to Headline 3 Shows at Kentucky Arena As WME Confirms It No Longer Books Him

The dates have been added piecemeal as Wallen continues to deal with the fallout of TMZ posting a video of the country star saying a racial slur in February, including not being allowed to perform or attend Nov. 10’s CMA Awards. Consequences also included his booking agency, WME, dropping the artist. As previously reported by Deadline, some concerts that were booked prior to Wallen’s controversial incident were re-booked through WME’s internal system, though no new shows have been booked through WME. The agency also told Deadline that commissions from Wallen’s concerts were being donated to charity. WME confirmed to Billboard that they are not booking new shows for Wallen. NGHTMRE and Zomboy Wreak Havoc With “Shell Shock” Alongside Georgia Ku: Listen

Tapping UK-based heavyweight Zomboy and acclaimed vocalist Georgia Ku, NGHTMRE has unveiled his latest single “Shell Shock,” a ruthless dubstep ballad bound to light up stages across the world. On top of being the 100th release on Gud Vibrations, “Shell Shock” marks Zomboy’s first original music after a two-year hiatus, which—interestingly enough—came just in time for Halloween weekend. “Shell Shock” masterfully juxtaposes menacing drops with Ku’s heavenly yet powerful vocals. NGHTMRE and Zomboy’s chemistry, on the other hand, is unmatched, as they masterfully accompany her singing with cinematic production, letting it all burn down in ...

Jerry Cantrell’s Brighten Shines a Light Back on His Stellar Solo Work: Review

The Lowdown: As one of the main creative forces of Alice in Chains for decades, singer-guitarist Jerry Cantrell is responsible for penning some of rock’s all-time great guitar riffs. He has remained busy with Alice in Chains (regularly issuing albums and touring after the arrival of singer William DuVall in 2006), and as a result, his solo career took a backseat — his last solo offering, Degradation Trip, dropped all the way back in 2002. So, nearly 20 years later, Cantrell is ready to go at it solo once more with Brighten. For the new album, he enlisted the aid of such renowned names as Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan, ex-Dillinger Escape Plan singer Greg Puciato (who supplies background vocals), and producer/composer Tyler Bates, among several additional respected musicians. The Good:...

Fugees Postpone Reunion Tour

Fugees are postponing their 25th anniversary reunion tour “to ensure the best chance that all cities on the tour will be fully open so we can perform for as many fans as possible.” Ms. Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, and Pras Michel had been scheduled to kick off the 12-date arena tour in early November. According to a statement announcing the postponement, those shows are being moved to early 2022. The trio also says they’re “adding more cities and dates.” Given the long and messy history between Fugees’ three members, the idea that their reunion tour would go off without a hitch always felt like a pipe dream. In the group’s defense, there’s nothing in today’s announcement to suggest the tour is in danger of being canceled outright, but until Hill, Jean, and Michel physically take the stage, ma...
