Last night, at the 2021 VMAs, Puerto Rico’s Ozuna turned the entire stage at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center into his own cosmic arcade. To bring his newest single “La Funka” to (far-out) life, the singer enlisted life-size teddy-bear backup dancers and a panoramic view of the moon. It could be read as the scope of the artist’s ambitions. Pop Smoke’s Grave Has Been Vandalized
According to reports, Pop Smoke‘s grave was vandalized by unidentified individuals over the weekend. Nearly two years after the rapper was laid to rest following his untimely death, the Brooklyn drill icon’s gravesite at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York was recently disturbed by vandals. Reports note that Pop Smoke’s crypt was broken into with the marble marking stone covering cracked into pieces. Marks on the ground around the crypt also lead investigators to believe that Pop Smoke’s casket may have been dragged out of the tomb. Hours after being discovered, the Green-Wood Cemetery replaced the damaged cover with an unmarked marble slab and placed caution tape around the gravesite. The Late Kentaro Miura’s ‘King of Wolves’ Receives New Young Animal Zero Serialization
The Late Kentaro Miura‘s King of Wolves is getting a new magazine serialization thanks to Young Animal Zero. Created in 1989 alongside Fist of the North Star‘s Buronson, King of Wolves was wrapped up in a single volume, and follows a dark adventure that takes place in 13th century Mongolia. This revival is all in line with Hakusensha and Young Animal’s quest to celebrate Kentaro Miura’s earlier works outside of the highly-popular Berserk manga. Announced during the 2021 PlayStation showcase last week, BioWare‘s iconic 2004 Star Wars RPG, Knights of the Old Republic, is now set to receive a remake. Currently in development by Aspyr, the updated version of the beloved title will be a “console exclusive on PlayStation 5.” According to Ryan Treadwell, the lead producer of the project, “We’re rebuilding one of the greatest RPGs of all time for a new generation with modern tech, features, visuals and more, while maintaining the integrity of the story and characters that we’ve come to cherish.” Adding that the team working on the remake features “industry veterans” and names tied to the original video game.
