Marvel Studios Adds Four Movies to its Release Schedule

Marvel Studios has updated its timeline for upcoming movies this week confirming the release of four undisclosed superhero movies in 2024 which are scheduled to release on February 16, May 3, July 26 and November 8. Below is a brief overview of what to expect from MCU movies in the near future.

Following the release of the highly acclaimed Black Widow and Shang-chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings films in 2021, Eternals directed by Oscar-winning Nomadland director Chloe Zhao and Spider-Man: No Way Home starring Tom Holland and Zendaya will hit theaters later this year in November and December.

Next year’s titles include Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder featuring Natalie Portman as the first female Thor, the highly anticipated Black Panther: Wakanda Forever sequel in which Chadwick Boseman‘s role of T’Challa will not be recast, and a Captain Marvel sequel, The Marvels starring Brie Larson.

For 2023, Marvel Studios has hired Rick and Morty screenwriter Jeff Loveness to write the script for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and director James Gunn has been rehired to complete the Guardians of “The Galaxy Vol. 3 trilogy after being fired last fall for inappropriate tweets sent a few years ago.

Three undisclosed movies are set for the remainder of 2023, and four more are scheduled for 2024, which may be regarded as the fifth stage of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The MCU movies that will potentially fill those open slots include Fantastic Four, Blade starring Mahershala Ali from Moonlight and Deadpool 3.
