UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced that COVID-19 vaccine passports will be mandatory for nightclubs and other public venues that draw large crowds. The regulation is set to take effect in September, amid a strong push to get the 35% of currently unvaccinated UK residents aged 18 to 30 to begin scheduling appointments. Vaccine passports are becoming increasingly common throughout Europe. The UK is following France in implementing similar policy as the nation led by Emmanuel Macron is now requiring vaccine validation in order for citizens to enter restaurants and other indoor establishments. The announcement drew pushback from a number of nightlife industry professionals, notably Michael Kill, CEO of the Night Time Industries Association (NTIA). He points out that while the ...
The 2021 edition of HARD Summer bears numerous attention-grabbing B2B DJ sets, but perhaps none more intriguing and unexpected than CRAY and GG Magree‘s new collaborative alias, Bad Boys Club. “Cray and GG Magree got drunk and made a DJ project lol,” the group’s Twitter bio reads. Despite their seemingly spur of the moment decision to start the venture, the project has instant supergroup potential. Both artists have been major success stories over the last few years, each earning a “triple threat” reputation as vocalists, producers, and songwriters respectively. Ahead of their debut at HARD Summer, Bad Boys Club have released their first-ever mix, exclusively premiered by EDM.com. CRAY and GG Magree of Bad Boys Club. Bad Bo...

Four decades into their unparalleled career, METALLICA is a massive cultural force which drastically changed the sound of popular music by creating its own rules. Yet for all their popularity, METALLICA can seem impenetrable, raising more questions and inspiring more discourse as their mythos grows. They’re rarely given the kind of literary appreciation and analysis usually saved for the biggest rock artists, until now. “Metallica: The $24.95 Book” looks at METALLICA‘s cultural significance, with chapters devoted to each member, each album...

Don’t try this at home, but Paramount Pictures has shared the first trailer for Jackass Forever, the upcoming fourth and final (?) installment in the Jackass franchise. In theaters on October 22nd, Jackass Forever does perhaps irreparable damage to stars Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Dave England, Wee Man, Danger Ehren, and Preston Lacy alongside Jasper, Rachel Wolfson, Sean “Poopies” McInerney, Zach Holmes, and Eric Manaka. Some of the moments shown here have already been reported for their ambulance-calling glory. In one bit, the crew dress up as a marching band and hop on a treadmill, in a stunt that landed Knoxville and Steve-O in the hospital. Elsewhere, testicles meet softball and only one sphere wins, and people go flying into the water from all sorts of positi...

A rare Nintendo card that doesn’t fall into the Pokémon category has just popped up on eBay. This card was part of Nintendo’s e-Reader series of collectible cards that could be read on the GameBoy Advance (GBA) for special items and unlocked features. This particular Kirby card was handed out at the 2002 E3 event where only 100 cards would garner a second-place prize and only 10 for the first-place prize. This card is extremely rare as all existing first-place cards were either redeemed or destroyed. As this is an uncommon card that hasn’t really popped up, there is no point of reference as to how much it is actually worth or the grading it would receive. It’s currently listed at $9,999 USD with 41 bids with just under three days left on the auction. [embedded content] In other gaming news...
Continuing to expand on Tom Clancy‘s video game universe, Ubisoft has now unveiled the latest addition to the iconic franchise: a first-person shooter called Tom Clancy’s XDefiant. Much like the other two aforementioned games, XDefiant will also allow you to use various traits and abilities native to the character you choose while combating your opponents, and also included a custom loadout feature fo...
