Call Off the Search: I’ve Found Three Perfect Pairs of High-Street Jeans

Why is shopping for jeans so hard? I mean seriously, I’m a shopping editor and I still end up tearing my hair out when trying to decipher the minuscule differences between straight, slim and regular-fit jeans. But as always, seems to be the case with these things, you spend months hunting down the perfect pair then three come along at once. I haven’t ordered much over the last six months, however, on a whim, I decided to order a few straight-leg styles from ASOS, hoping that out of three pairs at least one would turn out to be a winner. One was from Topshop, one from a brand called Reclaimed Vintage and one from & Other Stories, and you know what? They’re all fab. I have a dilemma on my hands—which one do I choose? From Topshop’s longline high-wai...

Adidas Is Releasing Three New Stan Smith Trainers With a Focus on Sustainability

Sportswear legend Adidas has announced an all-new era for its iconic Stan Smith silhouette, with the release of three new editions. Back in 2020, Adidas announced its commitment to end plastic waste by 2050 through innovation and partnerships. “Stan Smith, Forever” is the brand’s new sustainable range, which aims to provide a new generation for the shoe and acts as a new touchstone for the brand in its sustainability journey. It was first released as a tennis shoe, named the “adidas Robert Haillet”, and then later renamed to Stan Smith, after the American tennis player. Since its release, the Stan Smith has exceeded all expectations and quickly became one of the brand’s most popular models. For 2021, Adidas is revamping the iconic shoe in order to furthe...

I Bet This “Granny” Trend Will Be Everywhere This Summer

Like some of the best trends in fashion’s history, I have a funny feeling that my favourite summer style may well divide the crowd. Crochet has undoubtedly had a tumultuous relationship with the shopping public over the years: Originally regarded as merely a cheap alternative to lace, crochet was championed as a valuable “make do and mend” technique during World War II, however, it was in the swinging 1960s that it took on a life of its own in the fashion world. It was also during this decade that the iconic “granny square” started to proliferate, manifesting on everything from crop tops to cushions, which is fitting considering that in recent years crochet became increasingly synonymous with a certai...

I Swapped My Expensive Skin Routine for an Under-£98 One—Here’s What Happened

I have to come clean. Although there are plenty of under-£10 skincare products and affordable French pharmacy brands that I personally shop for and can wholeheartedly vouch for when it comes to their efficacy, I have a deep-seated love of luxury skincare that I just can’t shake. Of course, I’m lucky enough to be sent a huge amount of product to try as part of my job—at this point, my bathroom cupboard is basically an extension of my work desk—so I’m under no illusion about the fact that celebrity-approved moisturisers and high-tech skin gadgets likely wouldn’t form the basis of my regular skincare stash if I didn’t work as a beauty editor. But that doesn’t mean that my penchant for the high-end is any less real. However...

The Chicest Floral Dresses Have This One Thing in Common

While you can’t go wrong with any iteration of a floral dress, we have noticed that all of the best new-season styles have something in common: maxi hemlines. Synonymous with warmer weather, maxi dresses are a fixture in our holiday wardrobes, and although we might not be jetting off somewhere exotic any time soon, we’re certainly looking forward to wearing them on home soil. Elegant and dramatic, maxi dresses, particularly those with pretty bloom prints, have the power to make you feel instantly pulled together (even if you are wearing them with slippers to sit on the sofa).  You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates Online. So we reimagined what a dating should be. It begins with giving you back power. Get to meet Beautiful people, chat...

These 68 Spring Outfits Make for Easy Scrolling

For the last year, it’s safe to say my style has been built solely on comfort. Like so many, working from home meant I barely left the house, save from walking the dogs. Living in Scotland and being the sort of person who feels the chill in even the slightest of summer breezes, meant that, when I did so, I had to wrap up. Aside from the odd dress or skirt-and-jumper combination, I spent inordinate amounts of my time in joggers—and not fancy ones at that. Comfortable they may be, but wearing them day in and day out made me feel as if I’d lost my sense of style. While they’re still likely going to remain an integral part of my wardrobe this year, I’ve decided that I’ll also be experimental with my outfits. To equip me with...

I Feel Like the Past Year Has Aged Me—These 3 Products Are Reversing It

Inspired by Kate’s in-clinic Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Fillers, which are used to plump and lift skin, blur fine lines, and reduce the look of wrinkles, the KateCeuticals™ Firming Serum works to boost collagen production and oxygenate the skin for a smoother more luminous complexion. I’ve been busy testing out the KateCeuticals range, and I have to say that I’m incredibly impressed so far. First up, while appearances aren’t everything, this trio of products look so chic. The sleek grey packaging is a stylish addition to my bathroom, and the bottles and tub are just weighty enough to feel luxurious. As for the formulas themselves, the textures are beautiful—lightweight, non-greasy, and not at all cloying on the skin, like some anti-ageing products can be. I ...

I’m Nosy, so I Asked 4 Cool Scandis to Show Me Inside Their Homes

From fashion editors’ new-found obsession with checkerboard to the proliferation of pastels, Scandi girls sure know how to set a homeware trend. While the traditional conception of Scandinavian design centres around simplicity, white-washed walls and plenty of natural wood tones, a new guard of design-savvy fashion lovers are championing a new—but no less chic—Scandi aesthetic that is taking social media by storm. This fresh approach certainly doesn’t shy away from colour, but it still retains a certain cool elegance that has historically defined Scandi style. After moving house late last year, I threw myself into the world of interiors, and it was the Trine Kjærs and Nnenna Echems of the world who instantly drew ...

9 Springtime Style Basics No Woman Should Be Without

Spring is all about new beginnings. Flowers start to flourish, lambs are born, and the latest fashion collections are debuted. Speaking of the latter, if you’ve already consulted our bumper spring/summer 2021 trend report, then you’ll know that looks such as bubblegum pink, ’90s-style separates, second-skin tops, and beautiful dresses were all prevalent on the runways, making for one of the most sartorially exciting seasons we’ve had in a long while. And after the year we’ve had, boy do we need it.  Now, don’t get us wrong—we live for unearthing new trends, but we’re of the opinion that your wardrobe also has to have the right balance of basics to counteract them. Which is why we’ve decided to strip things back and talk about t...

TV Shows Set the Fashion Trends These Days—Here’s All the Proof

To say that TV shows have dominated our pandemic lives would be an understatement. Each show, when you really think about it, has pinpointed a particular time in the past year. First came Tiger King right at the beginning of lockdown during the end of March 2020, and along with it an ignited interest in animal prints and Carol Baskin costumes prepped for Halloween. There was Normal People, I May Destroy You, Selling Sunset, Unorthodox, The Queen’s Gambit, and new seasons of The Crown and Schitt’s Creek. And that was just 2020. This year already has seen the popularity of the BBC’s The Serpent and Channel 4’s It’s a Sin. And the TV hits will keep on coming, no doubt. What I’m saying is that with nowhere to go and with a need for escapism, the lu...

Kendall Jenner Is Making Us Want This £30 Mango Vest

It’s not often that you see a Kardashian-Jenner wearing high street, but this weekend Kendall was photographed in New York wearing a £30 top from Mango. Her outfit was a departure from her usual styling, as she opted for a 70s ‘grandad’ look wearing loafers with ribbed socks, green khaki trousers and a vest top layered over a white Oxford shirt.  Her knitted vest has 70s earthy tones with a horizonatal stripe using terrocota, lime and dark grey colours, and is surprisingly still available in all sizes. We love how she layered it over a smart white shirt, which was left untucked and visible underneath the vest for a more relaxed feel. This vest also comes with matching knitted shorts, for those who are looking for summer loungewear options. As for the rest of the look...

Lucas Moura: Tottenham squad united behind Jose Mourinho

Lucas Moura has insisted that the whole Tottenham squad are united behind under-fire boss Jose Mourinho amid the club’s turbulent 2020-21 campaign. Mourinho’s position in the Spurs dugout has been called into question in the wake of a nightmare week which saw the team follow up a north London derby defeat to Arsenal by exiting the Europa League in shocking fashion at the hands of Dinamo Zagreb. Spurs were thrashed 3-0 in the second leg of that last-16 tie in Croatia, but responded by beating Aston Villa 2-0 in the Premier League on Sunday, with Moura issuing a rallying cry in his post-match interview. “It’s been a very bad week for us, the feeling was very bad,” the Spurs winger told the Evening Standard : “Last night, we showed our nature, we showed attitude. “The good thing about footbal...
