Cattle breeders in the South-East are gearing towards setting up ranches in the region, a leader of livestock dealers said in Enugu on Friday. Godwin Obasi, Coordinator of the Southeast Association of United Farm Products, Traders and Livestock Dealers of Nigeria, made the declaration when members of the association paid a courtesy visit to their National Patron, James Ugwu, to congratulate him over his election as Secretary, PDP, South-East Zone. President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the renewal of the appointment of Mr. Alexander Ayoola Okoh as the Director-General, Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) for a second term of four years in accordance with the provision of Section 17 (1)(a) and (2)(a) of the Public Enterprise (Privatization & Commercialization) Act, 1999. Nigerian government mulls TCN’s unbundling, partial concession to boost power supply

The federal government is considering the unbundling and partial concession of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to boost its efficiency in the government’s bid to improve power supply. Director, Energy, Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), Mr. Yunana Malo, said during the March edition of “the Electricity Hub” conversation series on power that the National Council on Privatisation (NCP) had directed that a proper strategy should be mapped out for the unbundling of TCN.
