NFF supremo pledges solidarity to national league

NFF President Amaju Pinnick has announced there’ll be a solidarity payment to the Nigerian National League to aid the league. The Delta-born administrator made this statement while speaking to organized media during a zoom call, citing that the Glass House would help the league out of its predicament. The NNL has been in state of limbo for over five months with three delayed resumptions already experienced. Panic in Imo community as ‘herdsmen’ kill security operative

There is palpable fear in Umuanuma community in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State as suspected herdsmen murder a private security operative, Mr Hycinth Ikegwu, at about 6 am on Sunday while returning from work with his motorcycle. After hacking and taking down the Minneapolis Police Department website, the Anonymous hacker-group continued their protest spree and hacked the United Nations website, taking down a part of the site – the United Nations Civil Society Participation website – and replacing it with an image protesting the death of Minneapolis native George Floyd. Hacktivists protest by hacking a United Nations webpage. Floyd was killed by police officer Derek Chauvin – while in custody – who restrained Floyd with a knee to the back of the neck. Apple Music Slashes Subscription Prices for Kenyan Users

Delta doctor abducted by gunmen in government hospital

Gunmen have abducted a resident doctor identified simply as Dr. Wisdom Iboyitete at Central Hospital, Ojobo in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State. It was learnt that the hoodlums disguised as patients during the attack. The incident it was gathered occurred on Sunday night at 11:30 pm. Nigerian government says churches, mosques can reopen

The Federal Government has announced relaxation of restriction on gatherings in places of worship imposed as part of the guidelines to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the country. The presidential task force (PTF) on COVID-19 led by Boss Mustapha, secretary to the government of the federation and chairman of the PTF, announced that President Muhammadu Buhari had approved the relaxation of the ban for four weeks on Monday. The upper chamber of the National Assembly has called on the federal government to quickly diversify the economy, following the high cost of oil production without commensurate result.
