Tesla has announced another price hike for its Full Self-Driving package, marking the second increase in 2022 alone. Back in January, the automaker brought the price tag for its FSD software up to $12,000 USD, and now company CEO Elon Musk revealed on Twitter that following the wide release of its Beta 10.69.2, prices will increase all the way to $15,000 USD starting on September 5. While a $3,000 USD hike is significant, the new price is actually almost double the FSD’s launch price back in 2020, when it went for just $8,000 USD. To compete with Tesla‘s Model S Plaid and other high-performance EVs, American automaker Lucid Motors has now unveiled its own top-end line for its vehicles, named Sapphire. Designed to offer a complete premium experience, the new Sapphire badge will be introduced with the Lucid Air Sapphire, an “ultra-high-performance” make of its Air model. The car uses a powertrain of three motors with two at the rear and one up front to push out a staggering 1,200 horsepower, translating to a sub-tw0-second 0-60 mph time and a 0-100 mph time of less than four seconds. Audi has debuted its RS4 Avant in the new Competition form featuring increased potency with a top speed of 180 miles per hour (290 kph). The exclusive model has been revamped to balance performance and practicality for a “track-focused” driving experience. The 964 Cabriolet is the first convertible from Singer and comes just after its 930 “Turbo Study.” Arriving in a Cadiz Red paint job, the Cabriolet’s wide body has been crafted out of carbon fiber and houses an upgraded turbocharged 3.8-liter flat six that produces 510 horsepower (70 hp up from the Turbo Study).
