RM Sotheby’s is selling almost 100 cars in its upcoming 10th annual Paris auction, which features standout vehicles including the 1964 Porsche 904 GTS that highlights the auction. After the German automaker pulled out of Formula 1 in 1962, Porsche decided to focus on sports cars and the GT competition, which later led to the 904. Irish for “thunderstorm,” the electric-powered Speirling speedster caught the attention of the automotive world in June when it broke the Goodwood Festival of Speed hill climb record — even beating out an F1 race car. The Speirling features two electric motors that produce 1,000hp, and is matched to an incredibly light carbon-fiber monocoque chassis that weighs just under 1000kg. Teaming up with Aria Group in California, the new vehicle, now doused in a mesmerizing Mexico Blue hue, will mark Everrati’s first foray into the US market. RM Sotheby’s has just announced that the Bugatti Chiron Profilée will be offered for sale at auction in Paris on February 1, 2023. The Profilée is an automotive showpiece and is designed with a sweeping fixed tail at the rear — it’s designed to provide stability and control, even when the car is performing at its top speed of 380 km/h. Additionally, the tail also uses negative pressure to draw hot air out of the engine compartment through the use of two interior tunnels in the high-temperature carbon wing.
