With 45 years under its belt, Brabus is undoubtedly among the best car-tuning imprints in the game. Following its take on the Porsche Taycan Turbo S and the Rolls-Royce Ghost earlier this year, the company has just unveiled its latest revamp — this time, to the Mercedes EQS. Inspired by high-level aero-efficiency and ultra-modern innovation, the Brabus Mercedes-Benz EQS provides a 40% reduction in aerodynamic lift with carbon air deflectors, a rear diffuser and a rear spoiler. Additionally, with 22-inch Brabus Monoblock M forged wheels, a SportXtra suspension model and top-tier wind tunnel technology, the vehicle’s drag coefficient has improved by a sizable 7.2%. In turn, the lower drag reduces the car’s driving resistance, resulting in a 7% average increase in the speed range ...

Many EVs on the market now carries a distinct design language that separates them from traditional internal combustion engine vehicles, but Alfa Romeo‘s design chief Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos says that the Italian automaker won’t be adopting the aesthetic with its own future EVs because it “doesn’t make sense.” Speaking to Top Gear, the designer emphasized that Alfa Romeo is more focused on staying true to its own brand and philosophies than creating a new, electrified look. “Electrification changes the way the car moves, but the character, the style, the values will remain,” he explained. “Looking electric for the sake of it doesn’t make sense from my point of view.” He noted that similar takes might’ve worked for other au...
Rivian is now testing its dual-motor R1T and R1S models in the New Zealand winter. Dubbed the “Enduro” powertrain, the new options will make the electric vehicle maker’s two flagship cars more accessible than their four-motor variants, which currently start at $79,500 USD for the R1T and $84,500 USD for the R1S. With two fewer motors, the Enduro options will start at $67,500 USD and $72,500 USD respectively. The lower cost will come in handy for consumers, who soon will not be able to make use of previous tax incentives relating to certain EVs. The new regulations will prevent buyers from making use of the $7,500 USD subsidy for any electric SUV, truck or van that cost more than $80,000 USD. Unfortunately, there’s no precise release date yet for the R1T or R1S using...
Since signing with 23XI Racing, Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan’s official NASCAR team, Kurt Busch has already made a landmark statement in his first season with the newly founded team. In May, Busch won the AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway in an official, Jordan Brand-outfitted Toyota Camry. The car’s paint job drew inspiration from the iconic Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement” which matched the team’s custom uniforms. Now, ahead of this weekend’s Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond Raceway, the 23XI Racing team has unveiled another Jordan Brand-themed paint job, this time pulling from the Air Jordan 11 “Concord.” Arriving in a more subtle colorway than its “Black Cement” predecessor, this Jordan Brand design recreates the “Co...
Elon Musk has now backpedaled on comments he made back in April, selling more Tesla shares in anticipation of his upcoming trial against Twitter. Four months ago, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO sold off $8.4 billion USD’s worth of shares he had in the former company before confirming with a tweet that he had no further plans to sell any more TSLA shares. Between August 5 and August 9, however, the tech mogul sold another 7,924,107 shares worth roughly $6.9 billion USD. Explaining why he sold the shares, Musk posted on Twitter that he needed cash in case some equity partners “don’t come through” if the social media platform really manages to push through with the deal with a victory in court, adding that he wants to avoid any emergency selling. Wall Street analyst Dan Ives...

After finally coming into production last year, the Lucid Air will now be receiving a “Stealth Look” trim to give the automaker’s flagship EV an even sportier and sleeker look. The new trim will exchange 35 exterior components to give the car ” a darker and overtly sporting personality,” with components such as the mirror caps, the frame of the glass canopy roof, the lower body trim, and the trim around the headlights all swapped out with special finishes for a stealthier look. Most of the platinum parts such as the front nose blade, C-pillar flags, and lower door and fascia trims have also been replaced by what the automaker calls a “dark Stealth Polished finish” that is “reminiscent of the spéculaire black polishing technique employed in fi...
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has revealed that the Model Y is on track to become the best-selling car in the world by 2023. Back in 2020, the tech mogul predicted that the SUV would see double the demand of the Mod...
The McLaren F1 needs no introduction, but this particular example — 97th of the total 106 built, and just one of the 64 road cars made — is a little bit special. Chassis No. 59 stands out for multiple reasons, notable because it is the only car to leave the factory with the revised headlight selection that sees the British hypercar sport lights from the equally unique BMW Z1, subsequently solving the F1’s problem of lacking high-quality lighting at night — something you’d probably want, given this car can hit a once-record-holding 240 MPH. Further helping this car stick to the ground safely is the fact is was regularly serviced by McLaren Special Operations in its early years, leading to it being fitted with the sought-after High Downforce Kit. A new set of 18...
Paris Hilton had one in baby pink. Kim Kardashian had one in black, inspiring her viral phrase “Honey, would you put a bumper sticker on a Bentley?”. Katie Price, footballers, and reality TV stars from The Only Way In Essex also had one. The car in question is the Bentley Continental GT, the car described as singlehandedly inventing “the modern luxury grand tourer segment.” It became an instant hit for its handsome looks, 200 MPH-plus top speed, and class-leading driving experience, but had its reputation muddied by the car’s sophisticated – yet ironically chintzy – appeal. Today, it looks as if Bentley has gone back to its roots. When Walter Owen Bentley founded his eponymous motoring company in 1919, grand touring was all the rage. The firm’s 3-Litre, which was released in 1921, was desi...
As other established automakers such as XPeng and Aston Martin reveal ambitious plans of stepping into the world of air mobility, Volkswagen now ventures into aircraft design for the first time with the launch of a new “state-of-the-art passenger drone prototype.” Dressed in a black and gold livery, the four-seated automated vehicle is officially named VMO and nicknamed “Flying Tiger,” coinciding with this year’s zodiac based on the lunar calendar. VMO measures 11.2 meters in length and 10.6 meters wide, featuring eight rotors for vertical mobility and two rear propellers for horizontal movement. When finalized, it’s expected to be able to fly up to 200 km per hour and 60 minutes on a full charge. Aiming to capture the urban mobility market, Volkswagen...
