Hollywood superstar Dwayne Johnson, is getting into the holiday spirit. In the most recent news of kind acts, The Rock gave a surprise to a superfan after he attended the screening of his latest film, Red Notice. In a video he posted to his Instagram account, The Rock handpicked a fan, who happens to be a veteran, to give away his personal, customized Ford F-150 Raptor truck. In the caption the actor wrote, “My original idea was to give away the Porsche Taycan, that I drive in the movie, Red Notice.” Unfortunately, Porsche was unable to accommodate and The Rock decided to “do one better. I’ll give away my personal custom truck as the gift. My baby.” The F-150 Raptor owned by Johnson had a 3.5-liter V6 engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The r...
The Lancia Delta Integrale was a formidable Group A rally car in the ’80s and ’90s, and now it returns in electric form thanks to GCK Motorsport. Dubbed the GCK Motorsport Evo-e, this all-electric rally car is set to take on the inaugural electric FIA World Rallycross Championship in 2022, alongside 13 other cars on the course setting times to become the champion. Power comes from a Kreisel electric source, delivering a rather hefty 680 BHP and 650 lb-ft of torque, which should be good for a 0-62 MPH time of 1.8 seconds — faster than a Formula 1 car, which typically hits the same mark in 2.6 seconds. Some might sniff at the idea of an electric rally championship, as the noise of the cars is part of the experience, but there’s more to it than just switching from petr...
The Tesla Model S Plaid is without a doubt one of the most impressive cars in current existence, hitting 60 MPH in 1.99 seconds and holding the Nürburgring lap record for electric cars, but there was one thing that spoiled all the fun: its stopping power. For those who own a Plaid, fear no longer, as Tesla has announced a carbon-ceramic brake upgrade pack for the EV. Describing the brakes, Tesla says, “Designed for the ultimate track experience, the Model S Plaid Carbon-Ceramic Brake Kit is a complete hardware package that delivers maximum, repeatable stopping power during high-performance driving.” Perfect, then, for lapping the ‘Ring. The new kit includes carbon-silicon carbide rotors that can withstand high heats and multiple presses of the brake pedal as you turn into...

Renault continues to celebrate the 60th anniversary of its iconic 4L car with the unveiling of the AIR4, a flying car made in association with the forward-thinking design studio, TheArsenale. Following on from Mathieu Lehannuer’s “SUITE N°4,” which was essentially a hotel room on wheels, comes this flying car concept that maintains plenty of what made the 4L so loveable, but reinterprets it for a future without conventional roads. Instead, as suspected, this car flys and is powered by 22,000mAh lithium-polymer batteries that generate 90,000mAh of power, which is enough for a horizontal top speed of 26m/s, with a 45° inclination during flights, up to a maximum inclination of 70°. Capable of flying at heights of up to 700m, the AIR4 is a futuristic concept flying car that &...

Koenigsegg has just released a video giving supercar fans a listen to its high-revving engine in the Jesko. As explained by Christian von Koenigsegg himself, the video dives into how the company managed to squeeze 1,600 HP out of the $3 million USD Jesko’s 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. The key change in design for the drivetrain is the absence of a flywheel and clutch between the transmission and engine. The Jesko uses a new 9-speed multi-clutch transmission called the “Light Speed Transmission (LST)” and sees small clutches per each gear pair. This results in a 50% shorter transmission than the previous 7-speed dual-clutch, and a new transmission weight of just 198 lbs. With less internal inertia, the Jesko has a never-before-seen response time. Hooking a laptop...
BMW is celebrating 50 years of its M division with a range of special treatments that can be applied to various M cars (and M Sport models) within the range. Commencing January 2022, BMW M GmbH will offer customers the choice to spec their car with a classic “BMW Motorsport” logo, decorating the front hood, rear, and wheel hubs. The shifted semicircle logo harks back to 1973, and was frequently used on its racing cars. This design only ever appeared on motorsport cars, and once on the limited-production M1 from 1978, so it’s a truly special occasion that this can now be specced on cars such as the M3 and M4 — and the soon-coming BMW M3 Touring, which has just been announced. In addition to the exclusive roundel, BMW will also offer rare colors from the history of M ...

Californian startup FORM has unveiled the Camper, otherwise known as a conceptual take on turning the yet-to-release Tesla Cybertruck into a campervan. This modular design is comprised of a free-standing awning, if you will, that connects to the rear bed of the Elon Musk-designed electric truck, and interestingly, it’s also compatible with other trucks such as the Ford F-150 or the Chevrolet Silverado. Regardless, it comes in at just 1,000 lbs and is aerodynamically designed for minimal amounts of drag so that it won’t drain the Cybertruck’s range. Measuring at 195 sq. ft of usable space, the FORM Camper comes with an indoor and outdoor kitchen, sleeping compartments, a NEBIA shower, a cool and hot air-circulating fan, and a 100-gallon water tank that incorporates reverse...
