Britpop vets Gene are embarking on a North American tour for the first time in 24 years this November.
The band, which reunited in 2025, had already announced an appearance at California’s Darker Waves Festival on November 14th. Now, they’ve rounded out the itinerary with shows in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, Washington, and New York. Check out the full schedule below.
Pre-sales for select dates are ongoing. The general on-sale begins on Thursday, May 14th at 10:00 a.m. local time for the DC show, followed by the remaining dates on Friday, May 15th at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
Formed in 1993, Gene quickly rose to fame as part of that decade’s Britpop explosion. Their first two albums (1995’s Olympian and 1997’s Drawn to the Deep End) both cracked the top eight in the UK. However, the band was perhaps best known just as much for the music as their general antics; they even won the inaugural Brat Award for “Best New Act” from NME.

Two subsequent LPs (1999’s Revelations and 2001’s Libertine) didn’t make as much of an impact before personal and professional issues led to Gene’s breakup in 2004. They formally reunited for one show in 2008, as well as a handful of shows in 2025 around the 30th anniversary of Olympian.
