As a beauty editor, I’ve tried my fair share of makeup products, but the one thing that I’ll always have in my bag is blush. Even on days when I prefer to stick to skincare, I carry one in my bag in case plans come up or I just want to add a little bit of color to my face. I’ve tried everything from blush sticks and creams to powders and tints. The list goes on, and I genuinely love them all. Still, finding the right blush isn’t always easy.
I have olive skin, but for those with darker skin tones, it can be difficult to find a shade that shows up and also doesn’t look ashy on the skin, both of which are common pain points. That said, one of my favorite parts of my job is that I get to see so many different products in action, whether it be on myself or on other people.
