Lil Uzi Vert’s Monkey Now Has an Instagram. It’s Where the Rapper Is Rolling Out a New Album
Yes, you’re reading that right. Lil Uzi Vert has a pet monkey – her name is Piccola – and she now has her own Instagram page. The Instagram is more than just a place for photo dumps (though she already has posted a pretty good one, captioned “Early Studio sesh”); rather, it seems to be the main vessel Uzi plans to use to roll out his next longform studio project. Uzi – sorry, Piccola – has shared a minute-long video of her and Uzi, but no music has materialized quite yet.
Quadeca Drops New Single
Officially kicking off his new album rollout is rising under-the-radar artist, Quadeca. After appearing on Kevin Abstract’s Blush and Danny Brown’s Stardust during the same timeframe he released his impressive new LP, Vanisher, Horizon Scraper, Quadeca is seemingly another new longform project. The first track? A single entitled “Dark Magic” – out now.
Drake Surpasses Michael Jackson for Most No. 1 Singles by a Male Solo Artist
The Boy has made history. On the heels of his ICEMAN/HABIBTI/MAID OF HONOUR trifecta, Drake has official broken the world record for most No. 1 singles by a male solo artist, beating out the record held by Michael Jackson. “Neck broke from carrying the chain. Back broke from carrying the game. Records broken carry on my name. Carry on carry on,” the rapper wrote in his Instagram caption. Classic. It was thirteen singles in total. Full story here.
