Adele Opens Up About Postponed Las Vegas Residency: “There Was Just No Soul in It”

Back in January, Adele postponed her “Weekends with Adele” Las Vegas residency just one night before it was scheduled to begin, citing various COVID-19 delays. Now, the artist is opening up about her decision, revealing that there was “just no soul” in the show she originally plotted. “The stage setup wasn’t right,” Adele told Elle. “It was very disconnected from me and my band, and it lacked intimacy. And maybe I tried too hard to give it those things in such a controlled environment.” “Weekends with Adele” was set to take place at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, a 4,300-plus-seat venue with a 15,700-square-foot stage. In the interview, Adele recounted a moment during rehearsals in which she sang a cappella from the foot of the stage, and as her voice filled the room, she realized she’d ...

Ezra Miller To Begin Treatment for “Complex Mental Health Issues”

Following a string of arrests and concern over their well-being, Ezra Miller has announced that they “have begun ongoing treatment” to address “complex mental health issues.” In a statement released on Monday evening, Miller — who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns — acknowledged that they had “recently gone through a time of intense crisis.” Miller went on to apologize to “everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behavior,” and said they were “committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life.” Advertisement Related Video Since March of this year, Miller has been arrested three times. During a month stretch in Hawaii in the spring, Miller was charged with disorderly conduct and second-degree assault. And earlie...

Bam Margera Says He Was “Much Better Off” After Being Fired from Jackass Forever

After completing a one-year substance abuse program in May, Bam Margera has unfortunately been in and out of court-mandated rehab. At some point, however, he was able to appear on Steve-O’s podcast to discuss his battles with addiction and dismissal from Jackass Forever. Though the episode was just released last week, Steve-O explained in the introduction that it was actually recorded “a while back.” Based on the recency of Margera’s skateboarding injury in the video, the sitdown appears to have taken place a week or so after he passed the one-year mark in late May. With such a major milestone behind him, Margera was open to talking about his departure from the franchise. “Everything [was] meant for a reason and I’m much better off not being in it,” Margera said, after Steve-O explain...

John Wick Spinoff Series The Continental Moves to Peacock in Multi-Year Deal

Action junkies are in luck today, because Peacock has announced a multi-year deal for  The Continental, a highly anticipated three-part special event based on the blockbuster John Wick films. Premiering in 2023, the limited series will explore the origin story of the Continental Hotel, a refuge and meeting ground for hit men and assassins. Set in 1975 New York, The Continental is told from the point of view of a young Winston Scott (Colin Woodell), who we know eventually becomes the hotel’s manager. The series will focus on Winston’s dangerous quest to seize control of the hotel, which serves as a rendezvous point for some of the world’s deadliest criminals. The announced cast so far is rounded out with Ayomide Adegun as Charon, Peter Greene as Uncle Charlie, Mel Gibson as Cormac, Ben...

Kenya Barris to Write and Direct Wizard of Oz Remake

Warner Bros. has brought on black-ish creator Kenya Barris for the studio’s remake of The Wizard of Oz, reports Deadline. Barris will write and direct the “modern reimagining” of the beloved 1939 musical film, but is apparently keeping any further details under wraps. He will also be producing under his Khalabo Ink Society banner. In what’s sure to be a confusing situation for everyone not involved, New Line Cinema previously announced its own “fresh take” on Wizard of Oz in February 2021 with Nicole Kassell (HBO’s Watchmen) helming the film. It’s worth noting, however, that Warner Bros. owns the rights to the original Judy Garland-starring movie. Both of the upcoming remakes are based on the same original source material: L. Frank Baum’s book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Advertisement...

Snoop Dogg Launches Breakfast Cereal for All Your Wake-and-Bake Mornings

Breakfast is served at the dog pound: Snoop Dogg has unveiled his very own breakfast cereal, named — what else? — Snoop Loopz. The circular cereal is billed as an alternative to Froot Loopz, with “more corn, more flavor, and more marshmallows,” per Master P, who shared the news via his socials this week. Snoop Loopz will be distributed in grocery stores by Snoop’s own company Broadus Foods, which already boasts a range of “Mama Snoop’s” breakfast products. (Better yet, it supports charitable organizations like Door of Hope.) We haven’t had a chance to taste test Snoop Loopz yet, but take it from Master P. himself: It’s “berry delicious fo shizzle,” and is likely best served with your greens on the side. Check out the Snoop Loopz box below. Advertisement Related Video In more recent Sn...

Orphan: First Kill Is the Most Bonkers Horror Prequel In Years: Review

The Pitch: Remember Esther (Isabelle Fuhrman), the precocious tot who turned out to be a thirtysomething psychopath from Estonia with hypopituitarism? The one who terrified Vera Farmiga and her well-to-do New England family in 2009’s surprisingly chilling Orphan? In the grand tradition of Annabelle: Creation and Ouija: O-ouija-n of Evil, The Boy director William Brent Bell takes us back to Esther’s beginnings, thirteen years later and with a fraction of the budget. Perhaps “beginnings” is a bit of a stretch, to be fair: a more accurate title would be Orphan: Second (or Maybe Third?) Kill, as we’re introduced to little Leena in 2007 Estonia, two years prior to the first film’s events. She’s not Esther yet, but she has already offed her first host family, the one Ver...

Corey Feldman Says Marilyn Manson Sabotaged His 2017 Tour: Exclusive

In the third part of our interview with Corey Feldman, the musician and former child star tells us that he believes Marilyn Manson personally sabotaged his 2017 tour. Check out his thoughts on the 35th anniversary of The Lost Boys here, and reflections on his new box set, Love Left 2.1, here. “The ‘Heavenly Tour’ was definitely the exact opposite of that,” Corey Feldman tells Consequence. “It was the ‘Hellish Tour.’ But that was due to infiltration. We had people that were sent in that were spies that were not there to be musicians but were there to cause mayhem.” According to Feldman, he has collected evidence suggesting that Marilyn Manson led an operation to successfully sabotage that 2017 tour. “If it walks like a horse and talks like a horse,” he says, invitin...

Archer Season 13 Retains the Show’s Signature Amusement and Absurdity: Review

The Pitch: Typically, the longer a hit program goes on, the harder it is for it to maintain its quality and relevance. Thus, Archer’s ability to mostly preserve its trademark wittiness, ridiculousness, and audaciousness across 12 seasons (and 12 years) is commendable. Admittedly, some fans and reviewers feel that it’s fallen from grace in some ways — and maybe it has — but it’s hard to deny that the show remains immensely clever, fun, and (at times) moving. The Season 12 finale “Mission: Difficult” cemented all of that very well. For one thing, it found its lovable band of dysfunctional spies dishing out plenty of biting quips and explosive action before ultimately being acquired by a rival company called the International Intelligence Agency, or IIA, run by British mogul Fabian Kingsworth...

Bill Callahan Announces New Album YTI⅃AƎЯ, 2022 Tour Dates

Bill Callahan has announced his new album, YTI⅃AƎЯ, which, in case you didn’t guess, is the word “reality” spelled backwards. The project will arrive on digital platforms and CD on October 14th via Drag City, with the vinyl edition releasing next year. He also unveiled a new run of California tour dates (grab your tickets here). The lo-fi artist’s main collaborators on YTI⅃AƎЯ were Matt Kinsey on guitar, Emmett Kelly on bass/backing vocals, Sarah Ann Phillips on piano/backing vocals, and Jim White on drums. In a statement, Callahan explained the motivation behind the album. “I wanted to make a record that addressed or reflected the current climate,” he said. “It felt like it was necessary to rouse people — rouse their love, their kindness, their anger, rouse anything in them. Get their sen...

Westworld Composer on Ending Season 4 With Radiohead and What Might Happen in Season 5

[Editor’s note: The following contains spoilers through the Season 4 finale of Westworld, “Que Sera Sera.” To read about the music of Episode 7, click here.] “We’re finally back to Radiohead,” Ramin Djawadi laughs, at the beginning of our final conversation about Westworld Season 4. “I never actually counted, but I feel like we’ve done Radiohead the most — we’re all big Radiohead fans. So this being the final episode we said, you know, ‘It’s time for some Radiohead now. We need another Radiohead song.’” As the Emmy-winning composer has exclusively discussed with Consequence all season long, the unexpected twists and turns of the HBO sci-fi drama have often extended towards the music, calling upon Djawadi’s talent for recreating well-known pop and rock tunes using Westworld’s signatur...

Shooting Shuts Down Pennsylvania Festival Musikfest

A shooting at Musikfest in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on Saturday resulted in a chaotic scene that saw several attendees get trampled.  As The Morning Call reports, law enforcement, including FBI agents, arrived at the festival at around 11:00 p.m. local time after the shooting caused what witnesses described as a stampede. “I saw a lot of people falling and get stepped on,” one person wrote on Facebook. “I helped a young man who’s hands were bleeding pretty bad and couldn’t catch his breath (he’s ok).” Police described the shooting as an isolated incident, and Bethlehem Police Chief Michelle Kott said the festival was shut down as a safety precaution. “Law enforcement is on site and in control of the situation,” Kott said. “There is no known continuing threat to the public.” Advertiseme...
