Back in April, A$AP Rocky was arrested in connection to a November 2021 shooting in which he allegedly shot an unnamed man in the hand. Now, Terell Ephron, aka A$AP Relli, a former member of the A$AP Mob, has come forward as the alleged victim. Rocky, born Rakim Mayers, was coming back from a vacation with his then-pregnant girlfriend, Rihanna, when police detained him at LAX. He has yet to be formally charged with a crime, but has been listed as a person of interest and is due in court on August 17th. Additionally, Ephron has filed a civil lawsuit against Rocky. In statement provided to Rolling Stone, Ephron said Rocky asked him to meet that November night “to discuss a disagreement between the two of them.” Yet, “unbeknownst to Mr. Ephron, A$AP Rocky was not just planning for a conversat...
Even as Warner Bros. Discovery tried to cool down spending, the newly merged media titan was shoveling more money onto human dumpster fire Ezra Miller. The Hollywood Reporter notes that the star of The Flash was called into “regularly scheduled additional photography over the summer, apparently without incident, before being charged with burglary — their third arrest this year — on Aug. 7 in Vermont.” This report suggests that WBD continued investing in Miller after their first and second arrests in Hawaii, while aware of allegations of grooming against the troubled star. Miller was booked for disorderly conduct and second-degree assault in March and April, and accused of inappropriate relationships with at least two different children in the first half of June. De...

Taking place in the 1980s, the love story follows a pair of teenage cannibals named Lee (Chalamet) and Maren (Taylor Russell) as they travel across the United States. Though the clip clocks in at under 30 seconds, we still get a glimpse of some of the trouble they get into along the way. Watch the Bones and All teaser trailer below. In potentially bad news for your wallet, you’ll have to shell out a bit more soon if you want to keep watching Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ without ads. Disney is hiking the prices of ad-free subscriptions in the US this year, coinciding with the launch of its ad-supported version of Disney+. Per The Hollywood Reporter, Disney+’s ad-supported tier will launch on December 8th and cost $7.99 a month — the same price the ad-free tier is now. As a result, the ad-free tier will then jump up to $10.99 a month or $109.99 a year, equalling a $3 monthly increase or $30 yearly increase. Meanwhile, beginning October 10th, Hulu will raise prices for all its subscribers. The ad-supported tier, which is currently $6.99 a month or $69.99 a year, will jump to $7.99 a month or $79.99 a year. Hulu’s current $12...
Beavis and Butt-Head try to track down some chicks but prove to be quite the catch themselves in an exclusive new clip from Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head. The third episode of the revived series premieres tomorrow, August 11th on Paramount+, but to hold you over, you can check out 80 seconds of pure silliness below. The clip opens with everyone’s favorite butt munchers paddling down the river like Huck Finn (more like, ‘Suck my Finn,’ heh heh heh). Beavis is feeling a little snackish, and luckily he spots a tasty treat: a gummy worm, or so he thinks. What follows is a classic bit of slapstick that wouldn’t have been out of place in golden age silent movie. Check it out after the jump. So far, the revived series has been a mix of old pleasures and new surprises, including Beavis’ e...
Artist of the Month is an accolade bestowed upon an up-and-coming musician or group who is poised for the big time. For August 2022, we interview singer and songwriter Raffaella about her brand new mini album, LIVE, RAFF, LOVE (Act I). Upon entering Raffaella’s childhood home in New York City last weekend, a few things stand out to me: The walls are covered nearly inch-to-inch with both art and musical instruments, signed photographs and records decorate the hallways, and the busied look of the apartment feels quintessentially New York. Today, however, Raffaella is merely a visitor in her old abode — and she’s brought an exciting and radiant new collection of songs home with her. This Friday (August 12th), Raffaella — who is Consequence‘s August Artist of the Month — will release her ...

The passing of Olivia Newton-John on August 8th at the age of 73 after a long battle with cancer, inspired a rare moment of social media unity in her memory. While the Australian singer, actress, and activist had a decades-long career that resulted in her being one of the best-selling music artists from the second half of the 20th century, she is forever iconic thanks to her performance as Sandy in Grease. A major hit in the ‘70s and a nostalgic beacon during its ‘90s revival, Grease was a knowing pastiche of ‘50s teen comedies that loved the genre it mocked so mercilessly. Populated by a cast of tax-paying adults playing high-school kids who sing about sex and yearning, it’s a giddy mess that has stuck around long after the fads it parodied. What holds it together, amid the dirty gags and...
The Pitch: You might think you know this story… but you don’t. The Penny Marshall film A League of Their Own, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, was a landmark production as well as a damn great sports movie, chronicling the inaugural season of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League, despite the 1943-era sexism that had men chanting from the stands, “Girls can’t play ball!” As groundbreaking as the original film was, 1992 was a long time ago. So in creating a new take on A League of Their Own as a TV show, co-creators Abbi Jacobson (Broad City) and Will Graham (Mozart In the Jungle) have effectively made a remix of the original film, fully centered in the underrepresented voices that, in the movie, only lurked at the edges of the frame. The story is still focused on h...

The roster of the underground label Elephant 6 also continued to serve as a major inspiration. Pre-orders for the album are ongoing. See the artwork and tracklist below. Related Video Living up to its name, “Saturdays” wears the aforementioned inspirations on its sleeve and brings to mind a lazy weekend afternoon in the sun, though its lyrics aren’t as joyful as the melodies. ...
