The Smile Announce Live Album Recorded at Montreux Jazz Festival
Still riding the high of their May full-length debut A Light for Attracting Attention, The Smile have announced a new live album. The Smile at Montreux Jazz Festival, July 2022 was recorded — wait for it — at the trio’s Montreux Jazz Festival set back in July, and it’ll be available to stream this Wednesday, December 14th. What’s more, you can also catch a full playback of the performance over at The Smile’s YouTube channel for 48 hours only, beginning tomorrow, December 13th at 3:00 p.m. ET. HBO Max to Pull Westworld From Streaming Library
Last month, HBO canceled Westworld after four seasons, and now, WarnerMedia plans to pull the series from its streaming library altogether. According to Variety, HBO Max also plans to remove The Nevers from its catalog. Joss Whedon created the latter show, which premiered in 2021 and was supposed to premiere the second half of Season 1 next year. Sources told the trade those remaining episodes may air on another platform. Zac Brown Band Announce 2023 North American Tour
Zac Brown Band have mapped out a 2023 North American tour, featuring a rotating cast of openers including King Calaway, Marcus King, and Tenille Townes. Titled “From the Fire Tour,” the new set of dates kicks off on June 30th in Columbus, Ohio. Toronto, Chicago, and Boston are among the many stops on the trek, which wraps with back-to-back shows in Tampa, Florida in early November. See the full schedule below. Patti LaBelle Evacuated from Christmas Concert After Apparent Bomb Threat
Patti LaBelle was forced to end her concert at Milwaukee’s Riverside Theatre early on Saturday, December 10th due to an alleged bomb threat. All attendees were able to evacuate without injury. The incident occurred three songs into the Godmother of Soul’s last scheduled performance of 2022. Fan-captured footage posted to Twitter shows LaBelle engaging with the audience and holding a bouquet of flowers before being approached suddenly by three members of her team. Labelle admirably resisted at first by shouting, “Hold Up!
