Brandon Flowers Joins Sharon Van Etten to Perform “Like I Used To”: Watch
Sharon Van Etten and The Killers both just so happen to be touring Australia at the moment, and both acts made the most of it by meeting up onstage in Melbourne on Thursday night. Van Etten brought out Brandon Flowers to duet “Like I Used To,” her collaboration with Angel Olsen. Flowers’ voice doesn’t quite match Olsen’s — whose does? — but he still sounds great as he covers her parts and harmonizes with Van Etten throughout the song. Steven Tyler’s Health Issues Force Aerosmith to Cancel All December Vegas Shows
Aerosmith have been forced to cancel all of their December “Deuces Are Wild” Las Vegas residency shows due to singer Steven Tyler’s unspecified health issues. The band had canceled the December 2nd and 5th performances one at a time before eventually calling off the entire December slate, including a show tonight (December 8th) and on Sunday (December 11th). The residency had resumed in September after Tyler’s stint in rehab forced the cancellation of their June and July shows in Vegas earlier this year. It’s due out December 15th via Ed Banger Records/Because Music, and they’re previewing its release today with Logic’s remix of their breakout single “D.A.N.C.E.” The deluxe edition of † comprises the original 2007 album, which includes highlights like “Genesis,” “Phantom Pt. Ben Gibbard is set to pull double duty on The Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie’s 2023 co-headlining tour. During the fall run, the groups will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their respective albums Give Up and Transatlanticism by performing them in full. Marking the first live performances from The Postal Service in over a decade, the trek will kick off September 8th in Portland, Maine ahead of stops in Boston; New York City; Philadelphia; Seattle; Washington, DC; and more.
