COREY TAYLOR Hopes Something Like ASTROWORLD Festival Disaster Never Happens At A SLIPKNOT Concert
SLIPKNOT singer Corey Taylor says that he hopes something like the recent Astroworld concert tragedy never happens at any one of his band’s concerts. Ten people, including a 9-year-old and two teenagers, died while many more were injured after a crowd surge during Travis Scott‘s performance at the Houston music festival in November. The rapper has since been criticized for appearing to keep the show going despite pleas of help from the crowd. Although he paused a few times, many are saying this response was not enough. Halestorm have announced their fifth studio album, Back From the Dead, which will arrive on May 6th. In advance of the release, the band has unveiled the new single “The Steeple.” The album news comes roughly a half year after frontwoman Lzzy Hale and company unleashed the fiery title track back in August. “The Steeple” picks right up where “Back From the Dead” left off, as Halestorm serve up another hard-rocking track. Geoffrey Rush to Play Groucho Marx in New Film Raised Eyebrows
Geoffrey Rush is set to play Groucho Marx in an upcoming film adaptation of Steve Stoliar’s memoir Raised Eyebrows: My Years Inside Groucho’s House, Variety reports. Written and directed by Oren Moverman, Raised Eyebrows is set between 1973 and 1977 and depicts the final years of Marx’s life through the eyes of Stoliar (Charlie Plummer), a lifelong Marx brothers fan who was hired to be the comedian’s live-in personal secretary and archivist. Sienna Miller costars as Erin Fleming, Marx’s mercurial manager who picked Stoliar for the job. Stoliar worked on the Raised Eyebrows’ script with Moverman, who previously co-wrote the Brian Wilson biopic Love & Mercy.
