Original BLACK SABBATH drummer Bill Ward has told Metal Hammer in a new interview that he no longer holds a grudge against his bandmates over the circumstances that led to him bowing out of the group’s reunion a decade ago. “I love the you-know-what out of those guys,” he said. “I’ve come through the angry bits that happened in 2012 and arrived in a place of being at peace with myself and with them. I’m glad we did what we did and often go down memory lane with the early work we did in Copenhagen and the Reeperbahn in Hamburg. I love those guys and all the imperfections that go with that. It’s a great feeling, having come as far as we have, and I’m happy just being able to write or talk to them if I want to.” Bill was on board for the S...
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH‘s Ivan Moody has once again opened up about his struggles with alcohol addiction. The singer, who celebrated his third year of sobriety last March, previously said that he nearly died due to an alcohol-related seizure and woke up surrounded by EMTs and his daughter holding him while crying. He also admitted that he went to rehab five times before the last time finally stuck. Moody‘s near-death experience was recounted in FIVE FINGER‘s music video for the song “The Tragic Truth” which was released last week to coincide with Ivan‘s 42nd birthday. Earlier today, Ivan released an Instagram video in which he answered a couple of fan-submitted questions regarding “The Tragic Truth” clip. He said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOU...
RATING: 8/10 Reality is all well and good, but you can hardly blame bands like KING BASTARD from diving enthusiastically into the grand lysergic sludge tsunami and letting the tides of time and doom take control. “It Came from the Void” is the New Yorkers’ debut, but it sounds like a snapshot of something ongoing: a never-ending, whacked-out, post-SABBATH-ian jam, chuntering inexorably away in the swirling shadows, as the mortal realm disintegrates into dust. KING BASTARD call it “psychedelic filth” and that’s just about perfect. Audibly informed as much by free-form noise and syrupy ambience as they are by ELECTRIC WIZARD or CONAN, KING BASTARD are not just a cool, young band with a brilliant name. They are a cool, young band with a brilliant name, but ...
NIGHTWISH‘s Floor Jansen has revealed plans to release a new single in the coming weeks. The 40-year-old Dutch-born singer, who made her live debut with NIGHTWISH nearly a decade ago, shared a timeline for the arrival of her new solo music during a YouTube livestream earlier today. She said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “As you know, I’ve been writing music; I’ve been telling you about this for months and months. Thus far, I’ve only been saying, ‘A new song will come. A new song will come.’ And so I’ve been writing. There’s a lot of songs ready, and now there’s actually one song ready to be released. And so the thing I can tell you today is that the first song will come on the 25th of March. So now we can finally count dow...

Anna Chlumsky (Veep) stars as the journalist trying to tell Anna’s story, with reasons of her own for trying to get Anna on the record. Here’s the official Netflix description: In Inventing Anna, a journalist with a lot to prove investigates the case of Anna Delvey, the Instagram-legendary German h...
Sinead O’Connor has been hospitalized just days after her 17-year-old son Shane was found dead. As CNN reports, O’Connor told fans she was seeking help Thursday evening following a series of since-deleted tweets. “I’ve decided to follow my son,” she wrote from an unverified Twitter account with ties to her official account. “There is no point living without him. Everything I touch, I ruin. I only stayed for him. And now he’s gone.” She also blamed herself for her son’s death, writing that she felt “lost.” About an hour later, she tweeted again: “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said that. I am with cops now on way to hospital,” she posted. “I’m sorry I upset everyone. I am lost without my kid and I hate myself. Hospital will help a while. But I’m going to find Shane. This is just...

St. Vincent will join the Three-Timers Club of Austin City Limits when she appears on the program this Saturday (January 15th) to kick off the second half of Season 47. Ahead of the episode, Consequence is exclusively premiering her performance of “Down.” Watch it below. While playing the ’70s glam-inspired number, the indie rock savant commands the stage while flanked by her band and a trio of fierce backup singers: Navonnah Holley, Stephanie Alexander, and Danielle Withers. The performance is just a taste of the ultra-stylized stage show Annie Clark put together behind her excellent 2021 full-length, Daddy’s Home (one of the best albums released last year.) St. Vincent’s latest ACL TV appearance was taped in September ahead of her ACL Fest gig. Entering the elite Thre...

You have to remember when this came out. ‘Romeo Delight’ is the most ‘heavy’ song from VAN HALEN, in my (and Kerry King‘s!) opinion. The photos on the cover/back cover of ̵...

Challenging the straight line and the concepts of what belongs w...
