Danko has been very critical of Jon‘s contribution to Kid Rock‘s new single, “Don’t Tell Me How To Live”, in which Kid — whose real name is Robert “Bob” Ritchie — rants against “woke” culture and the mainstream media at a time when “every opinion has a millennial offended.” Speaking about whether he and his bandmates ever voice their political views publicly in order to sway their fans one way or the other. He responded (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “At that time, this music was on the rise. We just had come out with ‘Spreading The Disease’. [Singer] Joey Belladonna is in the band. We had a great singer, we had great music — things were working. We knew while writing those songs and knowing the singer we had and knowing what we can do, the next step, I think it all came to play. So as we were writing those songs, we knew it was special. I do think we knew it. But you know what? Yo...

The SHINEDOWN singer discussed the new LP in a recent interview with 95.9 The Rat‘s Carl Craft. Speaking about the album’s more “stripped-down” approach, he said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “We wanted to push everything to the front. And what I mean by that is we’ve proven that we can make these records that there’s a lot of musicianship involved in it, and we have layered our records over the years because we love music and we love sound and we try to make really cinematic records. So wi...
