[Editor’s note: The following contains spoilers for The Watcher.] With Ryan Murphy’s limited series The Watcher, the Glee creator delves into a real-life stalker case that has yet to be solved. In the concluding episode of the suspenseful series, the Brannocks eventually flee the house (and titular Watcher) and are seen in New York, settling into a newer, safe home. But even moving away from 657 Boulevard isn’t enough to escape the damage caused by the Watcher, as Dean is shown still attempting to solve wh...

Let’s explore below. Who Is the White Worm? Before becoming the infamous White Worm, Mysaria (Sonoya Mizuno) originated as a slave from Essos. After months of speculation, Netflix will begin offering an ad-supported plan beginning in November. The new ad-supported tier will launch amid a tumultuous year for Netflix, which faced subscriber losses in the first half of 2022. The company’s hope is that this price-conscious plan will boost both subscribers and revenue in the longterm, in a win-win for everyone. While it will now be Netflix’s least expensive plan, the Basic with Ads subscriber option comes with a few strings attached — mainly, that anyone opting in to the tier can expect to see between 4-5 minutes of commercials per each hour of content. On the other hand, it comes at a lower monthly price point. (For those uninterested in ads, Netflix will continue to offer its ad-free plans at higher price points.) Related Video Befo...
The Pitch: Thousands of years ago, in the fictional Middle Eastern kingdom of Kahndaq, an evil king enslaved his people to mine for a precious ore. One young boy rose up to challenge the king, and his bravery was noticed by some wizards with the ability to grant the pure-of-heart awe-inspiring powers. (Cool idea for a superhero origin — definitely sounds familiar.) Stories about what happened to the boy once he was able to harness those powers and defeat the king are vague, but the resulting hero, known as Teth Adam (Dwayne Johnson), was not heard from again. Until the present day, that is, a time when Kahndaq is largely under the control of outside mercenaries who are also trying to mine for the unobtanium vibranium adamantium eternium there. Despite their strict control, the mercenaries ...
Kurt Cobain’s estate has slammed an adaptation of Gus Van Sant’s dramatized film Last Days by London’s Royal Opera House, saying the production is an “unauthorized attempt” to continue exploiting the fictionalized story of the late singer’s final days. “Last Days has been created and written without permission,” the estate said in a statement. “This show, just like the movie, is an unauthorized attempt to benefit from the brief meeting set up with Kurt and Gus Van Zant. This one meeting has been exploited for profit for thirty years now and enough is enough.” A spokesperson for the Royal Opera House issued the following response: “The Royal Opera’s production of Last Days is adapted from Gus Van Sant’s cult film of the same name, released in 2005. It is a fictionalized account, and wa...
