Bob Dylan Calls for “Monetary Sanctions” Against Lawyers of Sexual Assault Accuser

A lawsuit claiming that Bob Dylan repeatedly sexually assaulted an unnamed 12-year-old girl in 1965 was dropped last month, and now attorneys for the singer are calling for “monetary sanctions” against the legal team that filed it (via Billboard). The suit was dated one day before the window closed on New York’s Child Protective Act, which opened the statute of limitations and allowed survivors of decades-old abuses to seek justice. Dylan scholars immediately called into question the filing’s timeline, which did not match the public record of his movements. Then, during the discovery process in July of this year, the woman failed to turn over text messages and emails, with Dylan’s attorneys saying her actions “strongly suggests Plaintiff has destroyed evidence directly relevant to the...

Surprise! Black Sabbath’s Ozzy Osbourne and Tony Iommi Perform “Paranoid” at Commonwealth Games: Watch

Wow! Black Sabbath legends Ozzy Osbourne and Tony Iommi surprised fans at the Commonwealth Games in their hometown of Birmingham, England, with a performance of “Paranoid” at the closing ceremony for the athletic competition on Monday night (August 8th). The performance was momentous for a multitude of reasons, including it being the first time the metal icons played together onstage since Black Sabbath played their final show ever in February 2017. Not to mention, it marked Ozzy’s first live performance in nearly three years, and first since undergoing a major neck operation earlier this summer. After the intro to “Iron Man” was teased with Ozzy exclaiming “I am Iron Man” from backstage, the Prince of Darkness made his way to the stage, where he was joined by Iommi and two musicians who p...

Roger Waters Calls Biden a “War Criminal,” Defends Russia and China in CNN Interview

Amidst his ongoing “This Is Not a Drill Tour,” Roger Waters sat down with CNN’s Michael Smerconish to discuss the overly political themes and messages presented at his concert. Smerconish began the interview by asking Waters why he labeled President Joe Biden a “war criminal.” “Well, he’s fueling the war in the Ukraine,” the former Pink Floyd member responded. “That is a huge crime. Why won’t the United States of America encourage [Volodymyr] Zelensky to negotiate, obviating the need for this horrific, horrendous war?” When Smerconish pointed out that Waters was “blaming the party who got invaded,” Waters countered by criticizing NATO for forcing Russia’s hand. “Well, any war, when did it start? What you need to do is look at the history, and you can say, ‘Well, it started on this day.’ Yo...

Robert Fripp and Toyah Willcox pay tribute to the Prince of Darkness in their latest “Sunday Lunch” performance. The King Crimson guitarist and his singer wife perform Ozzy Osbourne’s signature solo hit “Crazy Train” with their usual frisky flair. In yet another revealing ensemble (see-through top and black pasties), Toyah pays homage to Ozzy by adding a cross necklace and fringe evening gloves, mimicking the fringe sleeves that Ozzy has sported on several onstage outfits. Fripp, meanwhile, does his best to play the late Randy Rhoads’ iconic guitar riff. The hilarity ensues when Toyah rubs the fringe all over Robert’s face as he’s trying to focus on his guitar-playing, with the prog-rock legend unsuccessfully attempting to blow the material away from his noggin. At the end of the performan...

Bob Dylan Accuser Drops Sexual Assault Lawsuit Following Allegations of Destroyed Evidence

An anonymous woman who accused Bob Dylan of sexually assaulting her as a child has dropped her lawsuit against him after being being accused of destroying evidence, Billboard reports. Last year, a woman identified only as J.C. accused Dylan of sexually abusing her over a six-week period in 1965, claims the artist called “false, malicious, reckless and defamatory.” The woman’s case first came under scrutiny after her timeline of events failed to match up with records of Dylan’s 1965 touring schedule. Then, at a hearing on July 28th, she asked the federal judge overseeing the case to dismiss it “with prejudice,” meaning it will be permanently closed and cannot be refiled. J.C.’s request to end the lawsuit came after she failed to turn over texts and emails pertinent to the case pri...

I’ve loved Van Halen my whole life and tha...

Ticketmaster, Bruce Springsteen’s Manager Defend “Dynamic Pricing” Tickets [Updated]

Ticketmaster and Bruce Springsteen’s manager, Jon Landau, have responded to fan outrage over the ticketing service’s “dynamic pricing” model for Springsteen concert tickets, laying out what percentage of tickets are relatively affordable and what percentage are reserved for deep pockets. The controversy began earlier this month after Springsteen announced a 2023 tour with the E Street Band, their first such trek in six years. But The Boss’ working class image took a hit when first-day tickets soared as high as $5,000, and ever since then both he and Ticketmaster have been under pressure to address the sticker shock. Well, Springsteen just became a grandfather for the first time, so the responsibility fell on Ticketmaster, who in any event have been pioneers in the realm of dynamic pri...

Britney Spears Records “Tiny Dancer” Duet with Elton John: Report

Elton John recently declared that women are making the best music right now, which may be why he tapped none other than pop princess Britney Spears to join him for a new version of “Tiny Dancer.” According to Page Six, Spears and John recorded a duet of his 1971 classic at a Beverly Hills studio with help from Grammy-winning super producer Andrew Watt, who’s worked with the likes of Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Pearl Jam, and Ozzy Osbourne. “This was Elton’s idea, and Britney is a huge fan. They have recorded a remix of ‘Tiny Dancer’ as a full duet — and it is incredible,” a source told the tabloid. The track is set to be released by Universal Music next month. This time the couple tackle AC/DC’s “Back in Black” for their “Sunday Lunch” series. Fripp honors AC/DC guitarist Angus Young by donning a schoolboy outfit as he strums the tune’s legendary riff. Toyah, meanwhile, gives Britney Spears’ “Baby One More Time” schoolgirl outfit a run for its money as she uses her upper register to sing the rock classic while flicking rubber bands at the camera. Perhaps inspired by the recent heatwave that plagued the UK, Toyah ends the performance by pouring a pitcher of ice down Robert’s shirt, with the prog-rock legend screaming, “Oh, that’s really horrid.” Advertisement Related Video Toyah and Robert will be bringing th...
