Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Brings a Magical New Entry to the Borderlands Universe

While Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands may not be exactly like the Borderlands games that Gearbox Software fans have come to know and love over the last 13 years, the latest title in the franchise fuses aspects of what Borderlands fans appreciate most — like the humor, the characters and the sweet, sweet loot — into a genre the games haven’t yet explored: high fantasy. Taking place as a tabletop RPG narrated by the frenzied mind of everyone’s favorite explosives-loving 13-year-old girl, Tiny Tina, Wonderlands brings magic, knights, and the whole fantasy shabang to Borderlands’ signature gameplay and style. The game expands upon the fan-favorite Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep DLC from Borderlands 2 (which was later turned into a standalone title in preparation for Wonderlands), and is every bit ...

Eight weeks on, those 56 artists will be narrowed down to just one, and the best original song in the country will be declared. Oklahoma K-pop artist AleXa was a standout on opening night, with her performance of “Wonderland,” a number that fuses the grand spectacle of Korea’s hot genre with Latin beats. Remember the name Douglas Mills. You’ll hear it again. It comes in silver, but it’s potential gold for anyone who scores one. “Music is my life, basically,” he says in the pre-recorded bit. “It’s my safe place from doubters and haters. And people who just don’t like me in general.” The route to the American Idol auditions hasn’t been an easy one for Mills. “When I was younger, I was bullied because I look different,” he explains. The cruel name calling was “very painful.” Music has helped and healed. Explore See latest videos, charts and news His song Sunday night (March 2) was “especially chosen for the Bl...

OlliOlli World Is Far From An Average Skateboarding Game

When people talk about skateboarding video games, there’s generally one name that they mention — and that name isn’t OlliOlli World. But truthfully, OlliOlli World puts a wildly different spin roughly based on the genre that Tony Hawk popularized. Part skateboarding romp and part action-platformer, the latest from British developer Roll7 takes players through a whole new adventure through the OlliOlli universe that began with 2014’s game of the same name. Compared to the previous two titles, OlliOlli World ditches the quaint pixel art for a massively expanded world, character creation, top-notch electronic soundtrack and adorable new art style that shows off the colorful setting of Radlandia the team has built. But while it may look family friendly, the 100ish levels of skateboard platform...

‘Phoenix Rising’ Doc Offers Harrowing Look at Evan Rachel Wood Abuse Allegations Against Marilyn Manson

[Trigger warning: this article contains descriptions of domestic violence, as well as sexual and physical abuse.] Sometimes the film you set out to make is not the one you end up with. That’s the case with director Amy Berg’s intense two-part HBO documentary Phoenix Rising. The veteran filmmaker originally set out to document actress Evan Rachel Wood’s successful drive to lengthen the statute of limitations for domestic violence felonies in California from three to five years. As Wood was fighting for the Phoenix Act — which was signed into law in 2019 — Berg realized that any potential film would have to delve into Wood’s allegations against her former fiancé/boyfriend, shock rocker Marilyn Manson (born Brian Warner). That story makes up much of the first part (“Don’t Fall”) of the nearly...
