Turns Out Celebs and Fashion Girls Are All Obsessed with This One Jeans Brand

If you hadn’t noticed most of these styles are fun, printed ensembles— a huge trend for 2022 and something Ref denim does better than the rest. But we’re here to warn you not to overlook their classic styles too. Shopping Editor, Joy Montgomery loves her Cynthia jeans that she’s wearing below, and I personally don’t think you can beat their Wilder wide-leg style (except maybe with the Joli flares). They’re all extremely comfortable and, in line with the brand’s eco-credentials, made as sustainably as possible. One note, though— they do come up long so if you’re shorter like me, check out their dedicated petite styles or download the Sojo app for easy alterations.  You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates Online. So we reimagined what a da...

Every Single Way We Plan On Wearing Jeans in 2022

Don’t panic! We’re not about to sit here and tell you to throw out your beloved cropped straight-leg jeans, or that skinny jeans are over. Because first and foremost denim, whatever form it comes in, is a classic. Certain shapes shift up and down fashion’s most-wanted list— but then they come back around again before you know it. That’s why it pays to invest in the shapes and brands that work for you and your body, and always keep hold of the styles you love, no matter what’s ‘in’ right now. That doesn’t mean, of course, that denim trends don’t exist. Each year brings with it some sort of newness, whether that’s subtle updates to a classic jean shape, the return of an old cut, or the introduction of a whole new fit. So while we’ll definitely still be wearing our ‘bread and butter...

6 Lesser-Known Denim Brands We Always Recommend to Our Friends

Denim is the cornerstone of many of our wardrobes. From dresses and jumpsuits to jackets and, of course, jeans, it’s the timeless trend we’ve depended on through every decade since the 1930s, when Levi’s introduced the world’s first pair of jeans designed exclusively for women. We counted on it through the ’90s when head-to-toe was the way to go and still do as we enter 2022 when the offering seems endless.  Even if you don’t count yourself as a jeans person, you’re likely to own a denim piece or at least one pair in your favourite shade. And sometimes one perfect pair is all you need, but the search for them is a process most of us spend years going through. Not only do we have the fit and shade to consider, but also, these days, picking a bra...

I’ve Worn This One Pair of Jeans On Repeat For the Last Year

Re/Done’s Stove Pipe jeans are the perfect straight leg. Not too cropped, not too long (I’m 5’2 for reference) and stiff but not uncomfortable to sit in (important). The fit is spectacular: even during a year when my weight has gone up and down they’ve remained my most turned-to pair. The best part? They go with a whole range of shoes— the length and width of the ankle works perfectly with sandals, trainers, boots and heels (keep scrolling for proof).  Yes, they’re an investment, but the quality and cost per wear make them worth it— the blue is still just as blue, the hems are still intact and the denim doesn’t sag, even after a year of washes.  Of course, if you’re looking for the perfect flare, or wide-leg or skinny— sorry to say the search continues— but if it’s...

Jennifer Lopez Made This Challenging Denim Style Look Wildly Chic

Jennifer Lopez has really been keeping us on our toes when it comes to her choice denim trends lately. Over just the past week, she’s been out and about in L.A. in skinny jeans, low-rise jeans, and now a previously “frumpy” style that’s gone mainstream among the fashion crowd again: pleated jeans (and this isn’t even a first for her). Pleated jeans are everywhere again, and the coolest denim brands are on board, so consider this important research. As you might’ve guessed, J.Lo’s pleated-jeans outfit isn’t anything like the ones you’re probably picturing from the late ’80s. (In fact, the only time the word “frumpy” should be used in the same sentence as Jennifer Lopez should be to negate it.) This w...

Jennifer Aniston and J.Lo Both Wore the Denim Trend I’m Replacing Skinnies With

I wouldn’t say that Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Lopez have similar personal styles. The latter’s tends to be much more bold and experimental. But here they are wearing identical outfit formulas in the same week in the same city. Who would have thought? They were both photographed in Los Angeles wearing black turtleneck sweaters, flared jeans and top-handle bags. Are you taking notes yet? Flared jeans happen to be one of my favourite denim trends right now—one that I’m willing to swap out my beloved skinny jeans for. In my opinion, they’re so much dressier than skinnies and help you look instantly polished. Scroll down to see how both well-dressed women style the same outfit combo and to shop similar pieces for yourself.  You Dese...

You Should Never Get Rid of These Classic Jeans—We’ve Got Proof

Turns out there are plenty of top influencers who can’t get enough of the slightly oversized, low-slung silhouette of these ’00s jeans. Further proof that you shouldn’t give up on them—at least, not until you revisit them and draw a conclusion for yourself.  The key to making these jeans look the 2021 part lies in the styling. Now, you can push beyond the plain-T-shirt box—even if it is a look that continues to serve us, and Sylvie Mus, well. If you’re feeling bold, why not integrate some trend-led pieces to lift these jeans to cool new heights? Make Ellie from Slip Into Style your muse on that front. If you’re curious about how to wear slouchy jeans now, we’ve found eight prime examples of said styling to inspire you. And should y...

7 Non-Boring Ways to Wear Jeans This Winter

As cold weather sets in, it’s no surprise a lot of us will take the easy route and reach for our reliable wardrobe essentials. You know, the blazer that’ll never let you down–from work to weekend plans–and the white T-shirt that has been worn, and washed, more times than we could count. Then there’s jeans. While skinny jeans have taken a back seat this year (no one wants to feel restricted in super tight denim), other styles are leading as the starting point to every great winter outfit we’re finally ready to wear.  Sure, jeans are an easy option when getting dressed but that doesn’t mean they have to be boring. And we’re going to show you a whole host of simple (but again, not boring) ways to wear some of the best pairs. From the flared jeans that&...

A Jumper and Jeans Is My Look RN—These Are the Outfits I’m Trying Next

Okay, I get it. A jumper-and-jeans pairing certainly isn’t a groundbreaking look for this time of year. But as is the case for many people, it’s basically the only look I’m wearing right now. And when said sweater and jeans are either fashion-forward or styled in unique ways, well, that makes the outfit combo even better. And that’s what I’m here to chat about with you today. I’m sharing a sampling of the knit-and-denim ensembles I’m into (and want to try) and that I think you’ll be feeling as well. Included in the mix below are two of my favourite jumper trends of the moment—a slouchy ribbed knit and a striped silhouette—combined with loose, straight jeans. On the other end of the spectrum is a sweater vest worn over an of-the-moment button-down shirt and light-wash denim. All t...

We Tried the New Jeans Fashion People Are Losing It Over

Jasmine’s review: “Confession: I’m not a fan of most denim. The rationale behind this disdain is that I’m 5″4 and am curvy, so most jeans end up being too long, too baggy, or too tight. That being said, I wasn’t about to pass up the chance to try on Wandler’s denim. Usually, I wear anywhere from 27 to 30, depending on the brand and fit. Since I was nervous about the fit, I ordered Wandler’s black Poppy jeans in size 30. It was a miscalculation on my part, as I found they were a bit baggier and longer than I would have preferred and required me to style them with heels and consider adding a belt. Even though I should have gotten them in a smaller size, I’m a huge fan of their shape because, based on styling, they can become your mos...

If Your Blue-Jeans Outfits Need a Refresh, Here Are 9 Cool Looks to Try

Blue jeans—where would our wardrobes be without them? We dread to think. No item in your wardrobe is as hard-working and versatile as blue jeans. You can wear them for everything from shopping trips to brunch, walks in the park to weekend cocktails. But still, our reliance on them can sometimes mean we take them for granted and don’t give them the same love and attention as we do other items on our outfit roster. We simply throw them on without giving them so much as a second thought. Well, no more! To stop them from becoming stagnant—particularly in the colder months when we wear them as frequently as we do jumpers—we’ve found nine blue-jeans outfits that will help you truly appreciate them and unlock their full style potential. So whether you’re looking for new ways t...
