Trainers are to jeans as Nutella is to pancakes; eyeliner is to Alexa Chung; and corsets are to the cast of Bridgerton. They just look good together. The only major flaw in this thinking, however, is that every pair of trainers works with every pair of jeans. As far as shopping experiences go, finding a great pair of jeans on the high street used to be tough (IRL or online, tbh). But over the past few years, there’s been an influx of affordable styles, lengths and shapes that suit every body shape. It’s no longer good enough that “cheap” jeans should feel cheap, so gone are the days of ill-fitting saggy pairs made of fabric that quickly wears away. If you were to poll women on the item they find most difficult to shop for, I’d hazard a guess and say that jeans are very high on the list (perhaps even only second to swimwear). It is a universal understanding that finding the perfect pair of jeans is akin to finding a needle in a haystack, especially when you take into account the fact that sizes, silhouettes and trouser lengths tend to vary significantly across different brands.
