Baltimore Rapper Young Moose Wins $300K Settlement

Now, the city will have to pay $300,000 in settlement fees, a portion of a seven-figure lawsuit. Young Moose Gets Justice As seen in The Baltimore Sun, Young Moose, real name Kevron Evans, was arrested by Baltimore’s Gun Trace Task Force outside a city bar in 2012. Evans said then that after he was searched that former Detective Daniel Hersl planted drugs on his person, leading to three felony charges. On advice from his lawyer, Evans took a plea deal. The conviction was vacated in 2020 by Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby after a review. Evans filed a complaint against the city in 2021 seeking $1.5 million in d...

A new Leonard Cohen anthology has been released. The career-spanning Hallelujah & Songs from His Albums includes 17 of Cohen’s most beloved pieces, such as “Suzanne,” “Bird on a Wire,” “I’m Your Man,” “In My Secret Life,” and more. The collection also includes a previously unreleased live performance of “Hallelujah” from the 2008 Glastonbury Festival. Listen to the full LP below. Milwaukee-born, Atlanta-based artist Lakeyah recently signed with Motown Records, and, today, she’s sharing her latest release on the label. She’s enlisted Latto for a new track called “Mind Yo Business,” which arrives with an accompanying music video. Watch Lakeyah and Latto swap bars in a garden filled with animal-shaped hedges below. “Mind Yo Business” follows Lakeyah’s recent single “I Look Good.” The rapper signed with Atlanta-based label Quality Control Music prior to inking a deal with Motown.
