One month ahead of Alison Wonderland‘s third studio album, Loner, the prolific Aussie has released the record’s opening track, “Forever.” And according to an interview with Forbes, this one was conceived in the drive-through of a Starbucks. “I was crying to [my friend Trevor] being like, ‘I don’t know why nothing is going right for me. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of their third record, Dig Me Out, Sleater-Kinney have announced a new covers album coming this summer. The collection is set to feature St. Vincent, Wilco, Courtney Barnett, Low, the Linda Lindas, Jason Isbell and Amanda Shires, Tunde Adebimpe of TV on the Radio, and more covering songs from the band’s 1997 album. A portion of the proceeds from the album will go toward SMYRC, a Portland-based LGBTQIA+ youth center. Check out the band’s announcement on Instagram.
