Briston Maroney Teases Debut Album with New Single “Deep Sea Diver”: Stream

After releasing a string of EPs, including this year’s Miracle, Nashville songwriter Briston Maroney is ready to drop his full-length debut album. The effort is slated for arrival sometime in 2021 ,and as a preview, he’s sharing a new single called “Deep Sea Diver”. A freewheeling and folksy number, it finds Maroney struggling to pull himself out of a major rut. “Sick and tired of this old routine,” he laments early on, adding, “I’m a deep sea diver, I’m in too deep.” Maroney goes on to ponder his own “selfish pride” and “fear of rejection”, and whether they are keeping him from being an authentic and honest person. Taylor Swift has surprised independent record stores around the country with signed copies of her new album folklore. Many shops reported unexpectedly receiving a package of 30 autographed CDs, and have been posting pictures with the hashtag #recordstorefolklore. folklore is a self-consciously “indie” effort, created with The National’s Aaron Dessner and featuring Bon Iver. It’s also the top-selling record of the year, released by one of the most famous people on the planet. Deftones Unveil Title Track from New Album Ohms: Stream

After weeks of speculation and social media teases, Deftones have unveiled the title track from their upcoming album, Ohms. The single is the band’s first new song in four years, following up the 2016 album Gore. The track “Ohms” comes on the heels of the new album’s artwork, tracklist, and September 25th release date being confirmed hours earlier. The Ohms LP will contain 10 songs, with the title track closing out the album. The forthcoming album was produced by Terry Date, who helmed Deftones’ first four LPs. It was recorded at Henson Studios in Los Angeles, and Trainwreck Studios in Woodinville, Washington. Pandemic be damned! BTS continue their world domination today with new single “Dynamite” and its music video. The English-language offering finds the beloved K-pop purveyors hitting the disco dance floor and channeling their inner Saturday Night Fever. A much welcomed reprieve from these strange times, the track is filled with joy and appreciation for all the little things that life has to offer. John C. Reilly, Tim Heidecker, and Fred Armisen Star in New Show Moonbase 8

Three heavenly bodies have appeared on the horizon: John C. Reilly, Tim Heidecker, and Fred Armisen are banding together to write, produce, and star in the new series Moonbase 8. The out-of-this-world comedy will crash land on Showtime in the fall. The show has been described in a statement as “a workplace comedy that follows three subpar astronauts living at NASA’s Moon Base Simulator with high hopes of being chosen to travel to the moon.” The series is a co-production of A24 and Heidecker’s Abso Lutely Productions, with Jonathan Krisel serving as co-creator, director, and writer.
