It’s been roughly eight years since Creed played their final show after reuniting for a new album and tour. Now, drummer Scott Phillips reveals that the band members have been talking, and that another reunion is a “possibility down the road.” Creed originally broke up in 2004 after a wildly successful ride in which they sold millions upon millions of albums, and scored such No. 1 rock hits as “Higher”, “With Arms Wide Open”, and “My Sacrifice.” The post-grunge outfit built up a massive following, which also led to backlash from critics and rock fans who perhaps didn’t appreciate the band’s righteous music or felt that singer Scott Stapp sounded a little too similar to Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder. Upon their breakup, three-quarters of the band joined forces with singer Myles Kennedy to form A...
Christopher Nolan’s Tenet will be receiving a home release just in time for the holidays. The writer-director’s latest blockbuster will hit 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD, and digital services on December 15th. Instead of holding out until 2021 like most of Hollywood, Warner Bros. actually released the film in select theaters back in August after a brief delay. However, due to the worldwide pandemic that’s kept most US theaters shuttered since March, most movie fans either missed the opportunity to catch John David Washington and Robert Pattinson on the big screen or erred on the side of caution. Luckily, prospective viewers will get the opportunity to pre-order physical versions of the movie on November 10th and have it on their home screens just over a month later. The 4K and Blu-ra...
The Weeknd has teamed up with Maluma for a remix of the reggaeton icon’s hit song “Hawái”. On it, the After Hours artist sings in both Spanish and English. The two singers began teasing the collaboration on Instagram on Wednesday, and now the track has arrived less than 24 hours later. It begins with The Weeknd singing an altered version of the intro verse in English and before suddenly switching to Spanish for the hook. The Colombian pop star then comes in and handles the rest of the verses while The Weeknd joins him on the refrain. Despite the fact that they both play different styles of music, the two have an incredible chemistry and The Weeknd sounds particularly comfortable singing on a reggaeton beat. The song comes paired with a flashy music video that suits both of their ...

Rex’s “Cosmic Dancer”, Eyelids powering through Depeche Mode’s “Enjoy the Silence”, and Jehnny Beth of Savages stepping into Nine Inch Nails classic cut “Closer”. As for St. Vincent, she’s an incurable music nerd, and her ...
Last month, Gorillaz unveiled the audio portion of the first season of their audiovisual project, Song Machine. But some visuals are still coming down the pipeline, and that includes the newly-released music video for “The Valley of the Pagans” featuring Beck. Gorillaz love to combine live-action and animated footage, but “The Valley of the Pagans” is more animated than most. It shows 2D, Murdoc, Noodle and Russel cruising around a CGI Los Angeles while driving a low-rider called a Pagan. The song blasts out of the speakers, and when it comes time for Beck to chime in, he appears on something called a Fruit phone. Honestly, it looks like it was recorded over FaceTime in about the time it takes to listen to the song, but the device (plot and cellular) works; th...
Amber Heard (photo via Heard’s divorce filings) and Johnny Depp (photo from his defamation lawsuit) Johnny Depp was violent towards ex-wife Amber Heard during their tumultuous one-year marriage, and is thus by definition a wife beater. That’s according to a British judge who just ruled against Depp in a libel lawsuit the actor had filed against The Sun newspaper. Depp sued News Group Newspapers, publisher of The Sun, and its executive editor Dan Wootton over a 2018 article that labeled him a “wife beater” without using the words “alleged” or “accused.” The actor has never been charged with any crimes of domestic abuse. However, after hearing testimony over the summer from both parties — including Heard and Depp themselves — Judge Andrew Nicol handed down a verdict that stated “t...

Bruce Springsteen’s new album Letter to You will debut at No. 2 on the November 3rd edition of the Billboard 200. As Billboard confirms, this makes him the first artist to score a Top 5 album in each of the last six decades. Letter to You opens with 96,000 album equivalents sold, the best numbers The Boss has earned since 2014. It sold especially well on vinyl, with 18,000 LPs moved. That’s the second-most weekly vinyl sales of the year, following 26,000 copies of Tame Impala’s The Slow Rush. Including studio efforts, live albums, and greatest hits compilations, this is Springsteen’s 21st Top-5 release of his career. The others were 1975’s Born to Run (No. 3), 1978’s Darkness on the Edge of Town, (No. 5), 1980’s The River (No. 1), 1982’s Nebraska (No. 3), 1984’s Born in the ...
Beyoncé, a.k.a. Queen B Since launching her solo career, Beyoncé has held a dedicated fanbase endearingly titled the #Beyhive. But it turns out the music titan also keeps up actual, literal beehives — and they contain at least 80,000 bees. The Lemonade singer revealed the fascinating bit of trivia in a new cover story for British Vogue. “What is something I would find surprising about you?” the interviewer asked. Beyoncé did not disappoint with her answer: “I know it’s random, but I have two beehives. Real ones. I’ve had them at my house for a while now. I have around 80,000 bees and we make hundreds of jars of honey a year.” While Bey is singlehandedly doing her part to save the bees from extinction, the R&B star said she originally got into the beekeeping business for her f...
