The scripts for season two of Netflix's live-action One Piece adaptation have already been written.Marty Adelstein, the CEO of series producer Tomorrow Studios, confirmed the news to Variety earlier this week. “We’ve got scripts ready,” he revealed. Although production for an upcoming season cannot start until the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike is resolved, Tomorrow Studios president Becky Clements is forecasting an optimistic release window that could be scheduled as soon as 2024. “Realistically, hopefully, a year away, if we move very quickly, and that is a possibility,” she said. “Somewhere between a year and 18 months, we could be ready for air.”Despite the readiness of the studio, Netflix has yet to actually announce a second season. “They keep it, as you know, close to the vest until post-...

Despite persistent rumors of Hayao Miyazaki's retirement, Studio Ghibli executive Junichi Nishioka clarified that it may not be the case.During Nishioka's CBC interview at the Toronto International Film Festival of The Boy and the Heron, which has been reported as Miyazaki's final film, he revealed that the filmmaker doesn't see The Boy and the Heron as his last work. According to reports, Berserk is now set to start a new manga arc. The report notes that in this year's 18th issue of Hakusensha's Young Animal magazine it was revealed that the upcoming new chapter coming September 22 will introduce the latest arc for the story.Additionally, Berserk's resumed 42 compiled book volume will be available in Japan September 29. Following creator Kentarou Miura's death (May 6, 2021), the manga has gone through a hiatus and resurgence under the guidance of Kouji Mori and work by Studio Gaga.
