Tom Brady To Open Netflix’s Upcoming Roast Series

Netflix on Tuesday announced that Tom Brady will be the first guest on its upcoming roast series, Greatest Roasts of All Time: GROAT. For those unacquainted with the renowned footballer, the streamer comically describes him as “Gisele Bündchen’s Husband,” “sixth-round NFL draft pick and avocado ice cream aficionado.” Additionally, Brady will serve as executive producer on the series in a “multi-roast deal,” according to Netflix. Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts is set to helm a coming-of-age Star Wars series for Disney+, according to a Vanity Fair cover story on Tuesday. The show, which the publication describes as a “galactic version of classic Amblin coming-of-age adventure films of the ’80s,” will take place after the events of Return of the Jedi. Netflix on Tuesday dropped off the official trailer for its upcoming sci-fi thriller Spiderhead, starring Chris Hemsworth. The movie, helmed by Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski, sees Hemsworth don an American accent as a pharmaceutical genius named Steve Abnesti, who runs experimental tests on prisoners in exchange for shortening their sentences. Following the initial success of the Donda Doves basketball team which debuted in early 2022, Kanye West‘s Donda Academy school is now open for student application via its new official website. According to the page, the Christian private school will accept students between Pre-K to 12th grade. ‘One Piece’-Inspired Fitness Gym to Open in Tokyo

Building on the popularity of One Piece, a fitness gym inspired by the iconic manga/anime series will be opening in Tokyo. Dubbed “ONE PIECE FITNESS BragMen,” the unique space references an adventure chronicled in the manga’s 13th compiled volume. Based on renders, the gym features a full training room dressed in a nautical theme in line with the aesthetic of One Piece. Trainers at ONE PIECE FITNESS BragMen will also be dressed as naval officers to accent the theme. The gym will also implement a point system to encourage training and launch a “pirate school” for elementary school-aged children. Over the past year, Netflix has been receiving subscriber feedback for its original titles by streaming the projects to several members before its wide release. Since the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, audiences flooded to the theaters to watch the most recent Marvel film. The film later earned $187.4 million USD at the domestic bo office and $265 million USD globally. While the second Doctor Strange installment garnered the 11th highest-grossing opening weekend of all-time, the second weekend saw the film suffer a historic box office decline as an MCU film. In it second weekend, Doctor Strange 2 grossed only $16.7 million USD, a 67.5% drop from the over $180 million USD opening weekend. The ‘Chainsaw Man’ Anime is Coming to Crunchyroll

Surrounded by heavy anticipation, Crunchyroll has now announced that the anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man will be joining one of its upcoming seasons. Acquiring the streaming rights, the series will be simulcast from Japan, subtitled and dubbed, for more than 200 countries and territories around the world. Dubs will include English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French and German. Adapting the popular manga serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump by Tatsuki Fujimoto, the MAPPA-produced anime will be directed by Ryū Nakayama.
