After bringing back He-Man and Skeletor for Masters of the Universe: Revelation last year, Netflix has now announced during its Geeked Week celebrations that a sequel series is on its way. Titled Masters of the Universe: Revolution, the upcoming miniseries will feature 10 episodes and pick up directly from where Revelation ended, most likely addressing the massive cliff-hanger at the end of that season. A notebook used to keep notes and observations during the Johnny Depp v Amber Heard defamation trial has just been sold for $14,969 USD on eBay with 142 bids. This “Secret” notebook was kept by Larry Foreman where he traveled from Kentucky to Virginia and sat in on dates May 17, and from May 23 to May 26. Each trial day saw roughly 20 pages of info added in by Foreman and contains details that have “never been seen by the world” and “roughly 100+ tweets of top secret information about the jurors.” The listing indicates that the funds will be donated to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Earlier in May, Sony announced that it will be working with Netflix to develop a TV series adaptation of the Horizon Zero Dawn franchise, and now rumors of more details have surfaced. According to Giant Bomb‘s Jeff Grubb, the new series will be named Horizon 2047 and run in parallel with the games. As its name suggests, the show will be set in the year 2047 before the fall of humanity that led to the extinction of most of the life and Earth and the reign of the machines. Sony Pictures Animation is teaming up with Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan to create an animated Ghostbusters series for Netflix. The series will be directed by Chris Prynoski and Jennifer Kluska. Announced during the third day of Netflix’s Geeked Week, June 8 also marks the 38th anniversary of the film’s original release — usually referred to as Ghostbusters Day Ecto-Fest. It is confirmed that the show will be managed by Netflix and Ghost Corps, Inc, which is under Sony’s Columbia Pictures company. A new Silent Hill movie might be on its way as director Christophe Gans teased that he was penning a new script for the series.  During an interview with French magazine Jeuxvideo, the director stated that the new movie could be set for a 2023 release, and as horror evolved, he worked on updating the film from his first entry in the series. According to reports, the 28-year-old actress was offered the role of the pop icon after a “grueling” audition process that needed “a skilled singer and dancer.” Garner supposedly beat the likes of Florence Pugh, Alexa Demie, Odessa Young, Bebe Rexha and Sky Ferreira, and she and her team are currently “considering and expected to accept the offer.” It has not been confirmed as of writing, however. As Top Gun: Maverick continues to soar to new heights at the box office, its production studio has recently picked up a new lawsuit. Paramount Pictures is reportedly being sued by the widow and the son of the man who wrote the original 1983 article that inspired the first Top Gun. The Yonay family is suing the studio due to copyright claims and has filed a complaint with the California federal court. The suit calls out Paramount for not reacquiring the rights to the story before releasing the new Top Gun: Maverick film in May. Dwayne Johnson has unveiled the first official trailer for Black Adam, revealing a wider glimpse at his DC Extended Universe debut in the role of the titular antihero. “This passion project has become my DNA and the hierarchy of power in the DC Universe will change,” Johnson wrote on Instagram alongside the trailer on Wednesday. “The world needed a hero.
