Marvel Studios concept illustrator Andrew Kim recently released an illustration that reveals the appearance of Deadpool in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Kim’s original concept designs for Shang-Chi show a cameo that was omitted from the main film set in Macau’s illegal fight club Golden Daggers. The rendering shows Deadpool facing off against Thanos’ daughter Proxima Midnight, a scene which was replaced by Wong’s battle with Abomination in the actual film. Stranger Things director and executive producer Shawn Levy opened up about ending the famed Netflix show in season five, stating that the timing was right. In an interview with Screen Rant, Levy shared that they do not want to move from the “vision and the clarity” of what the Duffer Brothers planned. “Well, we never wanted to run on fumes and we wanted to only tell as much story as the brothers saw and feel with clarity. AMC on Monday announced that The Walking Dead will receive its fifth spinoff series, titled Isle of the Dead. The upcoming six-episode show will star Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan in their flagship roles as Maggie and Negan, respectively. The series envisions the aforementioned characters “traveling into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan long ago cut off from the mainland,” according to a press release. Netflix has tapped Shonda Rhimes and her longtime Shondaland partner Betsy Beers to executive produce an upcoming White House murder-mystery series, titled The Residence. The eight-episode drama, which has been ordered straight to series, is largely inspired by Kate Anderson Brower’s nonfiction book, The Residence: Inside the Private World of the White House, which explores the realities of America’s first families from the point of view of their staffers. DMZ first originated as a graphic novel and hit shelves in 2005. The story tells the tale of an alternate New York City, opposite from its known hustling and bustling environment. An empty metropolitan is divided by the second American Civil War and is set post-9/11 where internal conflict can be seen due to the U.S.’s stance of military interventionism. Taking place from May 26-29 in Anaheim, California, the annual event is coming back for the first time in three years, after having been canceled since 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
