Taika Waititi’s Pirate Comedy ‘Our Flag Means Death’ Hits HBO Max In March

Taika Waititi‘s latest pirate comedy series Our Flag Means Death has finally received a release date over on HBO Max. Scheduled to arrive this March, the new show will make its debut over the month on four different occasions. The first two drops will release three episodes each on March 3 and 10, with the final four episodes of the 10-episode season split between two on March 17 and two on March 24. As for the show itself, comedic actor Rhys Darby will be portraying the infamous Stede Bonnet, an aristocrat-turned-pirate who leads a group of “gentlemen pirates” across the Caribbean and subsequently partners with Waititi’s Blackbeard before the two leaders fall apart and seek revenge on each other. Live-Action ‘The Last of Us’ Series Won’t Arrive In 2022

Unfortunately for fans of The Last of Us, the epic game’s live-action series adaptation on HBO will not be arriving this year. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, HBO programming president Casey Bloys revealed that the video game-based series will not be airing any time soon. “We haven’t announced an air date yet,” he said, “but it’s not 2022,” noting that the series is still filming in Calgary, Canada right now. ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’ Launches New Live-Action Trilogy

Paramount Pictures has announced that Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will be the first of a new trilogy series. The upcoming film is based on the Beast Wars animated series and will be the seventh film in the Transformers live-action film saga. Set in 1994, Rise of the Beasts is a sequel to Bumblebee and will revolve around the leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime, who’ll be pictured in NYC and parts of Peru. The Beast Wars inspiration hints at the live-action premiere of new factions of Transformers including Predacons, Terrorcons, and Maximals, who are sub-factions and descendants of Decepticons and Autobots. Warner Bros. Confirms ‘Wonder Twins’ Live-Action DC Film Is in the Works

Warner Bros. has officially confirmed that it is adapting the beloved Wonder Twins comic into a live-action DC Comics film. The film has brought on Adam Szykiel, who has worked on the upcoming Black Adam, to write and direct the original live-action feature. The film is set to be produced for HBO Max and follows the storyline of the pair of alien siblings, Zan and Jayna.
