During Super Bowl LVI, Marvel Studios dropped the second trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The latest look at the upcoming sequel which picks up after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home was loaded with Easter eggs and hidden details. Amy Schumer, Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes are reportedly “finalizing details” to host the 2022 Oscars. According to sources, the three comics are the frontrunners for the 94th Academy Awards. Producer Will Packer is supposedly looking into “a three-act structure” that will feature different hosting pairs per hour, and allegedly met with a number of high-profiles names including Jon Hamm of Mad Men, who left the discussion pool over the weekend. The anticipation for Matt Reeves‘ Robert Pattinson-starring The Batman continues to pick up steam as the film’s release date nears. In a recent interview with Den of Geek, Pattinson appears to jump the gun on a potential The Batman sequel. While no announcement has been made just yet, the Caped Crusader revealed who he would like to see play opposite of him as the villain in The Batman sequel. Moon Knight star Oscar Isaac has big words for the upcoming Marvel series, stating that the show is Marvel‘s first “character-study” since Robert Downey Jr.‘s Iron Man. Speaking to Empire, the actor firsts revealed that he wanted to move away from major franchises after working on Apocalypse and the Star Wars trilogy. “Often on these big movies it can feel like you’re building the plane on the runway,” he explained. “The idea of getting back to ‘handmade’ films, character studies… I was desperate for that feeling,” Isaac continued, and he felt that “‘handmade’” feeling with Moon Knight. “And it’s the first legitimate Marvel character-study since Iron Man,” he said, adding, “I thought, ‘Maybe I can hijack this thing. Simu Liu is set to officially join the cast of Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie‘s Barbie film. According to reports, the Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star “is in negotiations” for an unspecified role. Liu will be starring alongside Robbie, who is portraying Barbie and producing, Ryan Gosling who is portraying Ken and America Ferrera. The plot is yet to be revealed. The Barbie movie is written by director Gerwig and Noah Baumbach, while Tom Ackerley of Robbie’s LuckyChap banner, Mattel Films’ Robbie Brenner and Paddington’s David Heyman will all be producing. There’s good news for fans of Jujutsu Kaisen. During an event for the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 film, it was announced that a second season for the anime is happening and that it is currently in production. Joe Rogan was recently offered a deal to bring his popular, but controversial podcast to Rumble, a right-winged video platform startup. Rumble offered Rogan $100 million USD to part ways with Spotify earlier last week, but The Joe Rogan Experience host has officially denied the deal. In a recent stand-up performance in Austin, Texas, Rogan confirmed that he would not be moving his podcast over to Runble. Rogan is still currently tied to his exclusive multiyear Spotify deal worth more than $100 million USD. Pokémon and Daniel Arsham have put together a five-series art exhibition titled “A Ripple in Time,” currently taking place at galleries across Japan. In conjunction with the physical displays, the duo has debuted an exclusive short film, following an initial teaser released earlier last month. The film begins by portraying a thriving metropolis where humans and Pokémons coexist side by side. Paramount has just dropped two new trailers for Sonic the Hedgehog 2, offering fans a closer look at Knuckles’ silver screen debut in the franchise. Scheduled to hit cinemas this April, the new sequel will be a direct follow-up to the original Sonic the Hedgehog in 2020, with director Jeff Fowler coming back to helm the new project.
