New ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ Trailer Hints at Return of Patrick Stewart as Professor X

Marvel Studios has dropped the newest trailer for Sam Raimi‘s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Premiering during Super Bowl LVI, the two-minute visual sees Doctor Strange, portrayed by Benedict Cumberbatch, getting arrested and facing a number of figures in an almost court-like setting. The voice of a man, who many have presumed is Patrick Stewart reprising his role as X-Men staple Professor X, then states that Doctor Strange should probably know the truth. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch continues to deal with the fallout from the events of WandaVision, telling Doctor Strange, “You break the rules and become a hero. Netflix Originals’ Marvel Shows Are Leaving the Streaming Platform

Netflix Original Marvel shows such as Daredevil, Jessica Jones and The Punisher are officially leaving Netflix. As confirmed by Engadget, the shows will be departing Netflix on March 1 and it has not been confirmed if the series will make its way on to Disney+. Netflix and Marvel effectively ended their partnership in 2019 when the last few titles were, much to viewers’ dismay, cancelled to make way for programs on the Disney+ platform. Universal Pictures has dropped off the official trailer for Jordan Peele‘s Nope, the actor-turned-director’s upcoming third feature film following Get Out and Us. The visual sees Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer running a Hollywood horse training ranch, while Steven Yeun appears to lead a rodeo under a dark, haunted cloud. Though plot details largely remain under wraps, it is known that Barbie Ferreira, Brandon Perea and Michael Wincott also star in the film. Netflix Orders Documentary About the 2016 Bitfinex Hack

Netflix is making a documentary about Ilya “Dutch” Lichtenstein and Heather Morgan, a married couple who was arrested this week for allegedly conspiring to launder around $4.5 billion USD in Bitcoin. The couple was accused of getting the crypto from the 2016 Bitfinex hack, one of the largest attacks in Bitcoin’s history. The government has since recovered $3.6 billion. Scheduled to release in 2022, Chris Smith, who was behind Tiger King and the Fyre Festival documentary FYRE, will direct and executive produce. Amazon Studios is working on a live-action Blade Runner series, according to Deadline. Ridley Scott, the original director of the 1982 film, will executive produce the series, which is titled Blade Runner 2099. The series will arrive as a follow-up to the 2017 feature film sequel Blade Runner 2049, which was helmed by Denis Villeneuve. Zack Snyder has now announced the full cast list for his upcoming Netflix sci-fi project Rebel Moon.
