In a recent interview, Scott Eastwood revealed that his father, the legendary actor Clint Eastwood was the reason why Scott turned down the sequel of James Gunn‘s The Suicide Squad. Scott told Insider, that Warner Bros. was not willing to pay him as part of a three-picture deal they offered. Aziz Ansari is set to make his feature directorial debut with Searchlight Pictures and will star alongside veteran actor Bill Murray. As confirmed by Deadline, the drama-comedy is based on practicing surgeon Atul Gawande’s non-fiction book Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End, which was released in 2014 and went on to become a No. 1 New York Times bestseller. Netflix Will Invest at Least $45 Million USD in French Movies

Netflix has signed a three-year deal with several French film guilds that will see the streaming platform invest at least €40 million EUR ($45 million USD) in at least 10 French-language and European movies. Within the deal, Netflix has vowed to invest at least 4% of its annual net revenue in French and European movie productions, with a minimum of €30 million EUR ($34 million USD) reserved for French-language films.
