‘Star Trek: Picard’ Announces Season 3 Cast in New Patrick Stewart-Led Teaser

Ahead of Star Trek: Picard‘s season two finale this week, Paramount Plus has announced the cast for the third and final season of the series. In a teaser led by Patrick Stewart, who reprises his role as Jean-Luc Picard in the series, Paramount Plus revealed that six Star Trek: The Next Generation stars — LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis and Brent Spiner — will join the cast for Picard‘s final chapter. The 74th Emmy Awards will take place on Monday, September 12 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, the Television Academy and NBC announced on Wednesday. The ceremony, which rotates between ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC each year, typically airs on a Sunday; however, in years when NBC has broadcast rights, the ceremony occurs on Monday as the network airs NFL games on Sunday evenings. One week prior to the awards ceremony, the 2022 Creative Arts Emmy Awards will take place on Saturday, September 3, and Sunday, September 4. Following the event, an edited presentation will air on September 10 at 8 p.m. ET on FXX. Rob Lowe and his son, John Owen Lowe, are set to star in an upcoming Netflix comedy series titled Unstable. The show, which was co-created by the Lowes and Santa Clarita Diet showrunner Victor Fresco, will follow an introverted son (John Owen Lowe) who must work for his highly-successful, free-spirited father (Rob Lowe) at a leading biotech firm in order to save him from a catastrophe. According to reports, Dark Horse Comics is now readying the release of the 41st compiled book volume of Berserk in English. The upcoming release of the long-standing manga will be the publisher’s first Berserk release since the death of creator Kentarou Miura on May 6, 2021, due to acute aortic dissection. The 41st manga volume was released in Japan back in December and follows the manga’s 40th volume, released back in 2018. Priced at $15 USD, the volume is set to arrive in trade paperback for the first time with a two-sided color poster insert. Director and creator of the popular Netflix K-drama Squid Game, Hwang Dong-hyuk has revealed that he is working on a new project that is “much more violent” than his last. Variety reported that he is currently developing a new film with a working title, Killing Old People Club or K.O. Club.
