Paramount+ has announced a July 2022 release for its upcoming Beavis and Butt-Head film, Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe. Marking the first Beavis and Butt-Head movie since 1996’s Beavis and Butt-Head Do America, Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe follows Mike Judge’s animated slackers in their trip to space: “In perhaps the dumbest space movie ever made, Beavis and Butt-Head are sentenced to Space Camp by a “creative” judge in 1998. John Cena is set to star in Warner Bros.‘ upcoming Looney Tunes film, Coyote vs. Acme. Helmed by Dave Green and written by Samy Burch, reports state that the movie is being billed as a hybrid live-action and animated title based on the iconic Looney Tunes characters and Ian Frazier’s “Coyote v. Acme” New Yorker article. Coyote vs. Acme will follow Wile E. Coyote as he attempts to sue the ACME Corporation for their products’ failure in helping him catch the Roadrunner. A Quiet Place III is in the works with an anticipated release scheduled for 2025, John Krasinski shared during Paramount’s investor day on Tuesday. The first film in the series premiered in 2018, starring Krasinski alongside his wife, actress Emily Blunt. The franchise follows a family fighting to survive in a world invaded by aliens who hunt by sound. It was succeeded by A Quiet Place II in May 2021, in which Krasinski had a cameo role. Showtime has renewed its TV series Super Pumped for a second season. Each season of Super Pumped focuses on a company that “rocked the business world to its core and changed culture.” For its second run, the show will shift its focus to Facebook’s rise from a startup to the powerhouse it is today. Based on a book by journalist New York Times Mike Isaac, the series “focus on the relationship at the center of that metamorphosis — between Sheryl Sandberg and Mark Zuckerberg — and the world-changing forces unleashed, intentionally and unintentionally, as a result,” per the logline.
