HBO Max Has Canceled ‘The Boondocks’ Reboot

According to reports, HBO Max has now canceled its plans for The Boondocks reboot. Back in 2019, HBO‘s streaming platform had ordered a two-season, 24-episode return of the adult animated sitcom from creator Aaron McGruder and Sony Pictures Animation. The reboot was initially set to start with a 50-minute special in fall 2020 but plans did not come to fruition. It was also noted that the reboot would see Robert “Granddad” Freeman and his grandsons Huey and Riley move to an idyllic community in suburban Maryland. Only to be met by Uncle Ruckus, who had taken over the once peaceful community. Sony Pictures Animation is now seeking new options for The Boondocks reboot. Disney+ Greenlights ‘Star Wars: Andor’ for a Second Season

Disney has reportedly greenlit Star Wars: Andor for a second season before its first one even premieres. In a recent Swedish interview, co-creator Stellan Skarsgård told Dagens Nyheter that Disney has already approved a second season for the show and that shooting will commence later this year. “We start with [filming Dune: Part Two] in July. And then in the autumn, it’s time for the second season of the Star Wars series Andor,” the creative remarked. “I do not know when they will start broadcasting it. Michael Vicens-Segura has filed a lawsuit against Jackass staples Steve-O and Chris Pontius over a jet ski stunt that supposedly left him injured. According to papers obtained by TMZ, Vicens-Segura is suing the two stuntmen for negligence and claims that in 2018, the two stuntmen asked if they could use his jet ski for a water stunt while they were in Puerto Rico. The water stunt was supposedly a tug-of-war on jet skis — similar to the group’s BMX Tug of War from the past — where two people, attached to each other via a bungee cord, will be on jet skis facing opposite directions. Spike Lee will direct an upcoming multi-part documentary on Colin Kaepernick for ESPN. The project, which was first unveiled in July 2020 in tandem with Kaepernick’s first-look deal with Disney via his production company Ra Vision Media, has already begun production. “Kaepernick, who has never given a full, first-person account of his journey, is collaborating closely with Lee who plans to use extensive new interviews and a vast never-before-seen archive to help Kaepernick tell his story from his perspective,” a press release reads.
