The controversy occurred after an exposé of the Globes revealed the lack of diversity in the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Wilmer Valderrama to Play Zorro In Upcoming TV Series Reboot

Disney has now greenlit a live-action tv series reboot for Zorro, and Wilmer Valderrama is set to play the titular hero. According to a new report from The Hollywood Reporter, the media giant intends to bring the legendary Latino hero back via a “telenovela style” series under Disney Branded Television, with former Disney Channel president Gary Marsh acting as producer alongside Valderrama himself. A Moment in Time: Murder was the Case, a working title, is currently in development and is executive produced by the two hip-hop powerhouses. The project marks the second installment in an anthology series that focuses on the criminal events that occur behind the scenes in hip-hop history.
