American rock band The Grateful Dead is getting a biopic and Jonah Hill has been cast as the iconic lead guitarist and vocalist, Jerry Garcia. The upcoming work is set to be directed by Academy award-winning director and producer Martin Scorsese, the mind behind films like Taxi Driver, The Wolf of Wall Street, The Irishman and more. The forthcoming movie has been set in motion by Apple, which owns the Grateful Dead catalog, and will see Hill and Scorsese as co-producers.
