Over this past weekend’s DC FanDome, Jenkins revealed to fans that she was “super excited” about the upcoming project but was equally “bummed” that Gal Gadot could not be there to make the announcement with her. Jenkins said, “[Gadot] is the busiest person in the world, with now three little kids and shooting.” The news of the arrival of the third installment of Wonder Woman first came in to light at the end of 2020. At the time, Warner Bros. chairman Toby Emerrich revealed that the production studio has fast-tracked the third film, also set to be the final one in the franchise. The second film garnered much success with almost half of all HBO Max subscribers watching it on ...

Although nothing is set in stone, Quentin Tarantino is open to the possibility of Kill Bill 3 as his next film. According to reports, the director responded “Why not?” when asked if the third installment in the Uma Thurman-led saga could be up next. Tarantino has not finalized anything as of writing, but has shared in the past that Kill Bill 3 is “in the cards.” He revealed in 2019 that he has an idea for the movie but wants to ensure that the story of Beatrix Kiddo isn’t ridiculous. “Because I wouldn’t want to just come up with some cockamamie adventure. She doesn’t deserve that. The Bride has fought long and hard and now I have an idea that could actually be interesting,” he said. Earlier this year, Tarantino also told the Joe Rogan Experience that casting Thurman and her daughter Maya H...

‘The Wheel of Time’, ‘The Last of Us’, ‘The Sandman’: The Battle of the Adaptations is Heating Up

In many ways, adapting a beloved franchise for television is a thankless task. You’re often working with an unwieldy source material (be that a comic book, video game, or novel) that doesn’t easily translate into the episodic structure of TV. Plus, you’ve got to grapple with the high expectations of the fans — and their unmitigated fury if you mess it up. And it’s hardly a guaranteed win: for every Walking Dead, Watchmen, or Game of Thrones, there’s those that fizzle or flop, like Shadow and Bone, The Alienist, or, indeed, the much-hated final series of Thrones. Despite that, three of the giants of the streaming industry — Netflix, HBO, and Amazon — are betting on a trio of new re-workings of beloved franchises. Next month, Amazon launches The Wheel of Time, a sprawling, high-fantasy epic ...
