Disney+ has given fans a first look at its upcoming docuseries The Beatles: Get Back. Directed and produced by Peter Jackson, the filmmaker behind the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit trilogies, the three-part series follows the making of the band’s 1970 album Let It Be, a record that had the working title of Get Back. French actor and Lupin star Omar Sy has inked a multi-year feature film deal with Netflix, which enlists Sy’s Paris and L.A.-based production company Korokoro to produce original projects for the streaming service. AMC has greenlit a six-episode anthology series titled Tales of the Walking Dead, slated to debut on AMC and AMC Plus in summer 2022. Each episode will run one hour long and take place inside the world of The Walking Dead, with both new and pre-existing characters. Continuing to deliver anime takes on Rick and Morty, Adult Swim recently tasked celebrated studio Sola Entertainment for a new Japanese short. Titled “The Great Yokai Battle of Akihabara,” the 11-minute clip features animation production by Sola Digital Arts Inc. and CGI by Yamato Works, Inc. While Masaru Matsumoto of Sola Entertainment directed the project with a script by Naohiro Fukushima and music composition by Tetsuya Takahashi.
