3 reasons Ethereum price risks 25% downside in June

Ethereum’s native token Ether (ETH) has dropped more than half of its value in 2022 in dollar terms, while also losing value against Bitcoin (BTC) and now remains pinned below $2,000 for several reasons. What’s more, ETH price could face even bigger losses in June due to another slew of factors, which will be discussed below.  Ethereum funds lose capital en masse Investors have withdrawn $250 million out of Ethereum-based investment funds in 2022, according to CoinShares’ weekly market report published May 31. The massive outflow appears in contrast to other coins. For instance, investors have poured $369 million into Bitcoin-based investment funds in 2022. Meanwhile, Solana and Cardano, layer-one blockchain protocols competing with Ethereum, have attracted $104 million and ...

Ethereum preparing a ‘bear trap’ ahead of the Merge — ETH price to $4K next?

Ethereum’s native token, Ether (ETH), continues to face downside risks in a higher interest rate environment. But one analyst believes that the token’s next selloff move could turn into a bear trap as the market factors in the possible release of the Merge this coming August. ETH to $4K? Ether’s price could reach $4,000 by 2022’s end, according to a technical setup shared on May 20 by Wolf, an independent market analyst. The analyst envisioned ETH moving inside a multi-month ascending triangle pattern, which comprises a horizontal trendline resistance and rising trendline support. Notably, ETH’s latest retest of the structure’s lower trendline could initiate a big rebound toward its upper trendline, which sits around the $4,000-level, as s...

Ethereum risks 35% drop by June with ETH price confirming ‘ascending triangle’ fakeout

Ethereum’s native token Ether (ETH) faces the possibility of a 35% price correction in Q2 as it comes closer to breaking below its “ascending triangle” pattern. ETH price breakdown ahead? Ether’s price swung between profits and losses on May 2 while trading around $2,825, showing indecisiveness among traders about their next bias. Interestingly, the Ethereum token wobbled in the proximity of a rising trendline that constitutes an ascending triangle pattern in conjugation with a horizontal line resistance. To recap, ascending triangles are typically continuation patterns. That being said, Ether’s price was trending lower before forming its ascending triangle, raising its chances of a breakdown in the next few weeks.  Another bearish sign comes from Ether&#...

Ethereum price ‘bear flag’ could sink ETH to $2K after 20% decline in three weeks

Ethereum’s native token Ether (ETH) has dropped by nearly 20% in the last three weeks, hitting monthly lows near $2,900 on April 19. But despite rebounding above $3,000 since, technicals suggest more downside is possible in the near term, according to a classic bearish pattern. Ethereum price ‘bear flag’ setup activated Dubbed “bear flag,” the bearish continuation signal appears as the price consolidates higher inside an ascending parallel channel after a strong downward move (called the flagpole). It resolves after the price breaks out of the channel to drop further. ETH’s price turned lower after testing its bear flag’s upper trendline on April 4 and now eyes an extended decline towards its lower trendline near $2,700. If the pattern pans out as ...

ETH price hits $3K as major crypto fund adds over $110M Ethereum to Lido’s staking pool

Ethereum’s native token Ether (ETH) rose above $3,000 on March 22 as fresh data suggests Three Arrows Capital staked at least $110 million worth of ETH into Lido’s liquidity pools. The Singapore-based hedge fund manager provided liquidity worth 36,401 ETH to Lido’s “Curve stETH pool” using a third-party Ether wallet, data from Etherscan shows. As a result, it became eligible to receive at least 36,401 stacked Ether (stETH) tokens from Lido: to ensure low slippage when un-staking those tokens for real ETH plus staking reward. Ethereum balance on crypto exchanges falls to lowest levels since 2018

The amount of Ethereum‘s native token Ether (ETH) kept with crypto exchanges has fallen to its lowest levels since September 2018, signaling traders‘ intention to hold the tokens in hopes of a price rally in 2022. Bitcoin’s sub-$40K range trading and mixed data reflect traders’ uncertainty

The phrase “hindsight is 20/20” is a perfect expression for financial markets because every price chart pattern and analysis is obvious after the movement has occurred. For example, traders playing the Feb. 28 pump that took Bitcoin (BTC) above $43,000 should have known that the price would face some resistance. Considering that the market had previously rejected at $44,500 on multiple instances, calling for a retest below $40,000 made perfect sense, right? Bitcoin/USD at Coinbase. Source: TradingView This is a common fallacy, known as “post hoc” in which one event is said to be the cause of a later event merely because it had occurred earlier. The truth is, one will always find analysts and pundits calling for continuation and rejection after a significant price move. Usually ...

Ethereum to $10K? Classic bullish reversal pattern hints at potential ETH price rally

Ethereum’s native token, Ether (ETH), could reach above $10,000 in the coming weeks as it paints what appears to be an “ascending triangle” technical pattern. Ether’s price technicals: Bullish signs Ascending triangles are bullish continuation setups that appear during an uptrend. Analysts confirm their presence after the price rises upward inside a rising right-angle triangle structure, thus forming a sequence of lower highs on the lower trendline with resistance in place at the upper one. As the pattern develops, volumes typically drop. So far, Ether has been forming a similar upside pattern on its weekly chart. In detail, the triangle’s lower trendline has been acting as an accumulation range since the beginning of 2021, with high selling pressure at the upper trendline, as shown b...
