There’s a little trick that I think a lot of people are unaware of: If you’re smart when shopping on the high street, pretty much any piece can look designer. There are, of course, a few rules. Monochromatic outfits are a great way to look chic, but it’s always wise to check out the fabric and patterns. (Cashmere mix is a good example, as is croc effect.) Overall, I found the whole process to be much smoother than I anticipated, and picking, ordering and returning my pieces (I dropped them off at the nearest DPD checkpoint using the prepaid shopping label) required very little effort.
